Nice hotel, loved the treehouse, they had excellent drinks. The bartender and waiters were really nice. The owners were friendly. We had a good room. Its a small, cozy, fun hotel. Just fyi, if you are looking to spend your days in the beach and on the water this is not the right place.

I visited the Imani Beach Villas for three days of recuperation after summiting Kilimanjaro this past September. All I was looking for was a place to rest my head at night, a beach to bake on during the day, and all the food and drink I could put away. Imani met these modest goals with aplomb. I literally spent my... More

We stayed at Imani Beach Villa in August 2012, and what a wonderful choice we made. The staff were truly professional and the rooms were exquisite and always beautifully clean. They have the most beautiful tree house were you can 'wine and dine' whilst looking out onto the beach and into the sunset. The food was delicious and their cocktails... More

If you are looking for some tranquillity and peace, this is your place! Numerous little touches give evidence that this place is run by professionals (unlike so many others on this beautiful island): Spotlessly clean accommodations with authentic furnitures and generous bathrooms, everything in good working condition and all the staff genuinely friendly and helpful. Having said that, remember you... More

My husband & I have just spent 4 nights here and it is definitely the place to wind down ! The rooms were gorgeous and the service fabulous. A real treat was the treehouse where we ate dinner and watched the sunset w a drink each night. Well priced and the team are helpful, friendly & welcoming ! If you... More

Imani is close to Stone Town, we took a dala dala every evening to eat out, but had to take a private taxi back, since we didnt want to walk in pitch dark the last part. But I loved staying there, trying every great cocktail they have in the beautiful tree house, candle lit. Rooms are very nice, as well... More

mani beach lodge has its pros and cons but in the end the pros outweighed the cons personally for me which is why I highly recommend them. Clean rooms, the tree house, proximity to the beach, spice plantations and prison island make it quite desirable, not as commercial and touristy as Stone town. Cons were if you planned to come... After 7 weeks of working in a hospital in Tanzania with my friends, Imani Beach Villas was the perfect place to go and relax for a week. Imani sorted out our transfer from the airport to the hotel and we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff of Imani. We were shown to our great rooms which we enjoyed sleeping... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Imani for one month whilst we worked at the hospital in Stone Town, and we could have stayed forever. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with traditional Zanzibari antiques, we had the biggest four poster bed I had ever seen. The treehouse bar was one of the nicest places we had eaten in... More

Location is very nice, quiet and more chilled out after the North! Food and drink is tasty and very reasonably priced. Location is lovely, as are the staff. Great beach for taking it easy. I also enjoyed running along it in the mornings before it got too hot. Was nice to get away from the touristy parts of zanzibar for... More
