We stayed in Stone Town for one night on our honeymoon and absolutely loved the Al Johari. Rooms are great and the bathrooms (complete with 'massage showers') are really modern and clean. We had a few sundowners in the bar which has great views over the rooftops and then an amazing dinner in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend it. more

We loved Al Johari! We stayed there for three nights over New Years. The hotel is incredibly clean and the staff works hard to keep it mosquito free. Everyone is friendly and the breakfast (included) was quite good (omlettes and fresh fruit plus much more). The hotel had a great location in the heart of Stone Town near the water.... more

we stayed at Al johari for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year.This hotel should be avoided at all costs. If you do have to stay, just make sure they don't have you Credit card details.
