A fantastic family run lodge. We were travelling with 3 kids under 6 years- one of 6 months and this was the perfect place. The owners will go out of their way to look after you. The Maasai guards make sure that the kids can wander around freely but dint get into any danger. The pool offers the kids (and... More

We were traveling with our four kids in Tanzania. We got two tents and stayed for the weeked. At night the sounds are AMAZING! The watering hole was a huge benefit to have! Food was delicious! Service was friendly and genuine! Our day game drive was great! We saw leopards, giraffes, elephants, lions and SOOO much more! I would definitely... More

Dionysia and John are some of the most accommodating and genuine people you may hope to come across. From beginning to end they have not overlooked a single detail that contributes to one of the most luxurious, authentic and inviting stays you could dream of in the middle of the African wild. We were fortunate to stay in one of... More

First of all, the park is so different from those in the north. The animals are more alert to the vehicles and there are only a fraction of the amount of visitors to the park relative to the north. It's difficult to get to, but well worth the effort. Tandala is well located a few minutes outside the park entrance.... More

I just returned from a fantastic stay at Tanadala which was truly the highlight of my Tanzania trip. First, I want to say that the owners, Dionysia and John, are the loveliest people and their hospitality made the visit. I arrived after an arduous 14 hr drive from Dar having had my debit card swallowed by an ATM in bank... More

We absolutely loved Tandala. We are seasoned safari people having enjoyed 10 trips so far. Tandala was one of the best run camps we've ever stayed in. John, the camp manager, does a wonderful job of making sure everyone has exactly what they need, all the while ensuring safety and order. We liked it so much we elected to dump... More

A very friendly, clean and beautiful place in the wilderness just outside beautiful Ruaha. At night elephants are walking through the camp (because increasing poaching activities they don't visit the camp at daytime anymore). When arriving in our luxuary tent a giraffe watched greeted us. The friendly maasai will guide you to and from your tent. The friendly mr Tom warned... More

I spent 4 days in June at Tandala with my parents. None of us had ever been on safari before or visited an African national park. What a perfect introduction! The environment is absolutely beautiful!! Thanks to 2 water holes located just outside of camp, elephants as well as other creatures native to Ruaha National Park are visible as you... More

We spent two nights at Tandala in June with two children aged 7 and 10. It is a wonderful place, beautifully arranged and in tune with nature. It is very family friendly with a small swimming pool and a simple rope swing that made lots of fun. They have two waterholes and we were welcomed by kudus, giraffes and baboons... More

We spent 2 nights here and we all loved it. It's a great location with welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. The staff were visible yet discreet. Our boys (4 & 8) had the time of their lives, especially when the elephants walked through camp whilst they were in the pool. We honestly cannot speak highly enough.
