I loved this place so much. I found the decor so exotic and beautiful. And the pool area was fantastic. The water was warm, the service prompt, and view, while we swam and enjoyed drinks, was fabulous. It was breathtaking and I had a great time taking photos. I really liked watching the monkeys too. I certainly couldn't find one... More

Having just realized now I never reviewed the safari hotels we stayed at on the trip to Tanzania last year, I will do so now. Our first night of the safari, we stayed at Lake Manyara Hotel for one night. This was pre-booked for us by our tour (Good Earth Tours). We had gone on the "Standard" safari rooms instead... More

This hotel really impressed me. We spent 1 night here (and 2 nights in 2 other lodges) The rooms were nice, clean, staff where friendly. Rooms included mosquito net, fridge and hair dryer. Other lodges I stayed in did not have this. Food - was good enough. Not amazing, but good. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Best of the... More

This place was gorgeous and comfortable. The service was very attentive. However, we were pushed into getting an alcoholic drink that I didn't want. I was told "just a taste" and was brought a small little drink and then told that will be 8000TZS. In the end, I didn't pay for it but it was a bit misleading. I wouldn't... More

Our tour guide raved about the view from this hotel but that was about the only part that was really good. Other than that, the hotel reminded me of hotels in India that are run by the Indian government. Great location, large properties, but no attention paid to making it work well. The rooms were the smallest we'd stayed in... More

we stayed there with our children (2, 7, 12 & 14), we enjoyed this hotel which gives a touch of "old british house" espacially the bar - the restaurant is big and serves buffet wich caters for every taste. The children enjoyed the live pasta section as well as the desert buffet. Breakfast buffet is also nice and give a... More

View is fantastic and the property is very well located and built. Management is a bit cold going by the overall warm standards of the hotels in this part of the world. Rooms are a bit cramped and food is not so generous as in other competing properties like Sopa. We left behind a night suit and requested the management... More

I had very poor expectations given the reviews. In short, I had a wonderful two day stay here. The staff were all very friendly. The food was just fine....served, no buffet. Laundry done the same day...fresh and pressed. Yeah, the pepper steak is not what you would get in Toronto...but come on now, this is Africa. Enjoyed the Hotel Lake... More
