I recently spent 2 nights at Isoitok with my wife and 3 children. We have lived in Tanzania for many years and stayed in many different lodges and camps right across the price range. When going to a new camp you are never sure what to expect but we were all pleasantly surprised. The camp was well layed out and... More

We expected everything, when we arrived after an infinite drive through a masai savannah, but what we saw took our breath. Rustic on the first sight, but luxurious on the second, this original camp is situated in the middle of nowhere. Only you and wilderness, nothing more. Camp itself is composed of a couple of luxury tents with bathroom and... More

Location: on a hill in between Arusha and Mto Wa Mbu, next to a Masai village Hotel: 10 tents, well spaced out, a few camp fires spots, common outdoor shower Room: biggest bed I ever slept on, attached bathroom Positives: wonderful service, great host, positive ecological/social impact on community Negatives: could separate toilet/changing area, far from most attractions/lake, hot afternoons... We slept in Isoitok Camp for two nights when we visited Lake Manyara. It is close to the park and about on hour away from Arusha. It is a 8-10 minute drive away from the main road (connecting Serengeti and Arusha). We met the owner Chris who gave us a very warm welcome. We loved the camp with the fantastic,... More

We stayed here for two nights with our four boys, ages 12 through 18 – we all loved the place. Arriving straight from the airport and gamedriving in Lake Manyara during the day. The tents are very well equipped, both the tents and the camp in general are very clean, in excellent maintenance shape. The setup and atmosphere got us... More

We were welcomed by Chris who gave us a history of the camp and what was going to happen during our stay. The accommodation was basically faultless, clean well kept en suite rooms, amazing shower outside (enclosed)!. To shower under the stars in Africa - amazing. We were treated to a traditional Maasai dance by men and women, my daughter... More

The Isoitok camp is a beautiful tented camp close to Lake manyara. Unfortunately we only stayed there for 1 night, I could have spend a whole week over there. The tents are well equipt, clean and comfortable. The dinner and the breakfast was perfect. The eye for details was impressive as well. Chris and his team delivered a great service... More

We stayed at this camp for 2 nights at the end of our safari and we wish we could have stayed longer. The camp owner, Chris, is very welcoming and accomodating. The tents are beautiful, with the wooden doors, it feels more like you're staying in a room than a tent. The staff are all very kind and always smiling.... More

That was our final night during our safari trip in Tanzania and, at the end of this uneven path, we found this lovely camp run by Chris. Welcome was warm and we were amazed to find all this confort in the nice tent we only spent a night in. The dinner was incredible by its diversity and quality. One of... More

We stayed here for one night in February and wish we had stayed longer. Isoitok is a well designed and well managed camp. The tents are clean, spacious and beautifully furnished with many wood highlights. There is a lot of space between individual tents and the area is immaculate. There are lots of wood and stone accents and comfortable seating... More
