Pluses: Each room has a dorm size fridge and microwave. The pool is heated. On Wednesdays during the summer, there is a farmer's market across the street from the hotel. The hotel has conference rooms available. Minuses: The rooms are small especially with two double beds. The room door opens and hit the clothes hanging in the closet. The bathroom... more

While on business trips to Fort Drum, I have stayed here one or more weeks off and on for the past 10 years. I suppose I am surprised that they do not seem to know I am a "regular". Sometimes I stay elsewhere. I enjoy the walks in the neighborhood behind the hotel, a small diner in the city, and... more

After finding out that Hampton Inn got rid of their "govt rate" rooms, I booked the Carriage House by Best Western. It's a dated hotel, but it's right downtown. Parking is free. Breakfast is skimpy (coffee, juice, fruit, cold cereal, danishes). The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Seeing as how all the other hotels that offer the... more

While in Watertown on business during the months of December of 2007 and January of 2008, I stayed at the Best Western - Carriage House. I found it to be generally clean and comfortable with new curtains, wall paper, carpeting, furnishings and bedding. The free wireless internet access, fridge, microwave and continental breakfast were added pluses. I did not use... more

While a Best Western fan, we were very disappointed with the facility. Spent one evening and found the room very tired and in dire need of renovation. Washroom very small and shower was an adventure with water temperature varying if anyone else in the complex was using the facilities. Located in downtown area with few restaurants/activities available..Much better choice would... more

We Stayed here for a little Easter Break and Shopping and thought it was very clean and neat. The pool area was one of the cleanest pools and pool area I've ever seen. The fitness room could have been a little cleaner but was okay. I would stay here again. more

Checked into the hotel for three nights, checked out after the second night. The room we were given looked as if it had not been refurbished in 20, years, wallpaper coming away from the walls, bathroom sink vanity broken and coming away from the wall, formica broken and ripped, floor slippery and slimy, wardrobe partition coming away from the wall.... more

We were heading towards Albany from Canada and kind of miscalculated our driving distance, so pulled in here for the night as it was getting on a little. We're probably the only Irish tourists Watertown has ever had. I was wary just by looking at the place from the outside, but the others were adamant we'd driven enough for the... more

The first non-smoking room we were offered smelled of smoke. The air conditioning unit made the room smell worse. There were cobwebs in the corner, wallpaper peeling from the walls, mold under the windowsill, and the bathroom floor was like a skating rink due to a film of "something." The windows were filthy too. We were moved to a room... more

I have been staying at the Carriage House off and on for the last 2 months due to working in the area. I found the accomodations fine. Some floors are nicer than others such as the King rooms on the lowest level. The bathrooms are clean and could be bigger but the room size is probably the cause of that.... more
