If you want to get to know a bit more about life in a Berber family home then this is the place for you. Lahcen Igdem and his family live in the heart of the small village of Arghan in the High Atlas Mountains. Their front door looks unremarkable but as you step inside, your feet walk across home made... More

This was definately the highlight of a number of trips I've had to Morocco. If you're a little bit adventurous and want to learn about how real Moroccan people live you must go - and it's only a 90 min drive from Marrakech! We stayed with Lahcen and his family in Feb 2015 and had the joy of seeing the... More

we went there on a trip in the high Atlas with our guide Abdul (who we can recommend very highly) to have a 3-course lunch on the terrace with a spectacular view on the Toubkalmountain...the owner is a 26-years old Berberman and he is doing the outmost to let you feel at home and he had a good sense of... The highlight of our Marrakech trip! Lahcen was such a great host: he taught us how to make Moroccan mint tea and how to speak Arabic phrases, he helped us plan our hikes and the family prepared amazing food for us. This is not a hotel; it is a beautiful Berber homestead. If you want an authentic experience of Berber... More

Our stay with Lahcen Igdem in Arghen Village was magical. We were honoured to live in the middle of a Berbervillage and overwhelmed by the beauty of the mountains and it's people. Our room was very nice, with our own bathroom and a hot shower. A day would start with a grand delicious breakfast (with homemade bread), tea and nuts... More

Lahcen was a perfect host. He welcomed us with amazing tea ceremony and showed us how to traditionally prepare the mint tea. The house is in a village on a hill a little bit outside of Imlil (10 min walking) with a great view on the mountains and surrounding villages, and has nice sunny terrace and cosy rooms. Lahcen made... More

I visited Lahcen in December for three days and had an wonderful experience of the life of a Berber family and the village. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable and the food was excellent. It is great that Lahcen speaks good English and so it is possible to really learn about their life and share... More

Beautiful views, kind hosts, and a very delicious lunch. The tea ceremony was fun. We did not want to leave this beautiful place. We will definitely return for a longer stay. Thanks for making this a highlight of our trip!

We felt so welcomed by this family and the view was breathtaking. Lahcen and his cousin made us feel at home. I was especially impressed by the way Lahcen spent most of his time with us asking questions and answering ours even when the tour was through. His cousin was very kind to offer his hand whenever I felt uneasy... More
