In my four months of backpacking through Africa, staying at this place was my biggest regret. Why? Because my stuff got infested by bed bugs and not only was I dealing with it for the last month of my trip, but now that I'm home, I am still dealing with it. It has caused so much stress and I'm now... More

I stayed here a week with my boyfriend and two other friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated being cared for by Hussein, Brahim, and family. Nothing was too much to ask, they were genuinely interested in us and not feigning anything. Hussein speaks good French, English, Spanish, and Arabic, which is VERY useful, and is one of the loveliest... More

We stayed at the Gite Atlas Mazik (formerly L'auberge Mzik) for 2 nights in March. We stayed one night prior to the trek (as we leave in the morning around 9AM) as well as one night after the trek (as we arrived back around 6PM). We booked through booking.com and stayed in a triple room that was 15Euros(total) with breakfast.... More

We have just come back from a 2- day trip to the Atlas mountains and had a wonderful experience. Staying with Hussein and his family we felt very welcome in their authentic Berber house. The entire family is hard working to make the best for you and your trip, providing excellent and typical food, a simple but clean, cozy room... More

I was intruduced to this place by my friend Faye who had stayed here before, we did not book and turned up quite late in the evening, Brahim welcomed us with a big smile showed us to our rooms and had no trouble cooking us up a great meal after everyone had already finished there food. It is a little... More

We run in to a men when we arrived in Imlil. On the start for our hike to Atlas mountains. We wanted to store a bit of our lugage and that was possible for 1 euro. We dronk there coffee and after 2 nights we came back. Me and my 2 friends decide to stay in this lovely family run... More

I stayed at Gite Atlas Mazik for one night in the beginning of November. Although quite hard to find in Imlil (well, it's right on the foot of the highest North African mountain, Toubkal), Hussein tried a lot to get us there safely. He's done a brilliant job! Rooms are okay, good even for the price. Only real downside is... More

Gite Atlas Mazik is a truly family run business, managed by Hussein a young man who is very talented, genuine and intent on ensuring that your experience at his place is one that will stay with you for the rest of your days. Set on the high cliffs overlooking Imlil, in Mazik or Mzik, Gite Atlas Mazik graces its guests... More

Gite Atlas Mazik sits perched on a hill overlooking the trailhead village of Imlil - gateway to the High Atlas mountains and, in particular, Mount Toubkal: the highest peak in North Africa at around 4200m. The gite is a 3 storey traditional village house attached to the owners' living accommodation. It is reached via a narrow path weaving through the... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Gite Atlas. We were greeted by Housein in the village of Imlil, where he brought us to the guesthouse, not to mention carry my backpack for me for the 15 minute uphill walk! The place sits high in the village of Imlil, making for stunning views out of every window & terrace. (Standing on... More
