Houssine and his cook Mohamed made us very welcome - as we arrived for a three day stay in the Atlas Mountains. One night at Riad Oussagou, a night in the mountains with fabulous guide Yasser and fantastic cook - also called Mohamed and then back to Oussagou. Mid winter, high up, blue skies and sun, but out of the... More

We booked a double room via Booking for 17€, then we decided to go on Jebel Toubkal and came back after 2 days. We stayed one more night, but the household wanted 250 Dh (25 eur) for the night. We were tired after trekking, so we agreed, but it is not so serious. Dinner was for 100 dh per person,... More

For me Riad Ouassaggou fell flat. First of all, it's not a riad but a complex of homes put together as a lodge. Second, the presumed owner, Hussein, who knows the area well & speaks decent English, was more intent on checking his Facebook by the fire than orientating me about his riad (eg hours & locations of meals) or... My fiance organized a trip to the High Atlas & found Houssine's house (Riad Oussagou) via Tripadvisor. We had done an incredible two day hike around the high atlas - Berber Village route & even stayed in a remote village for the night and ended the trip with a night stay at Houssines house. Houssine organizes everything. Need a stay... More

Stayed here for two days with my GF a few weeks ago... really lovely Berber-inspired room and en suite... cosy in the cold Atlas mountains. Notably Hossein the owner organised a last minute all-day hiking expedition for us with Abdul (absolute legendary young Hiking guide - massive recco!) at 7PM that night to depart at 5AM the next day with... We've booked all our Atlas & Dessert tour in Morocco via Houssine - the owner of this cozy guesthouse at the foot of Toubkal, and though we've spent just 1 night there, but it was so welcoming, relaxing and comfortable after 4 days trekking. The room though quite small, but was very cozy with a comfy bed, welcoming tea &... More

Stayed for two nights, with one night in the Toubkal Refuge in between. It was no problem leaving our luggage and car there. The location is perfect for hiking: One of the trails to Toubkal starts 500 m below the Riad, and in the other direction there are some nice walking paths for climbing the surrounding hills. The location outside... More

Stayed for 2 nights around a day's trekking. As per other reviews, a very comfortable stay - basic but with all the facilities that you would want / need. Good views across the vally and to the hills Excellent "home cooked" food for breakfast and evening meals - meals are communal with other guests which does add to the experience... More

This Riad is about a 10-15 minute walk out of town (Imlil), which was fine and actually preferable for us, but you should simply know that before booking in case you want to be in town. We found the location that much more peaceful and restorative, and the walk was no bother for us. The proprietor was exceptional in that... More

Had a wonderful two nights stay in this place. Our host was incredibly helpful. Breakfasts were immense and left you in no need to eat for a long while after. The situation is incredible and peaceful, owing to the fact it's a good 10-15 walk from the village centre. Don't attempt to walk up with heavy luggage, grab a mule... More
