This place is great for what it is as any experienced outdoors, alpinist etc... person will see. Considering everything is brought up by mule the food is very nice (breakfast is poor so bring some cereal bars), the staff are friendly though often rushed with groups arriving past 20h00 and leaving before 04h00 in Spring. Dorms are noisy, smell interesting... More

Wasn't expecting a great deal from this place and pretty much got what I expected. Crowded hot rooms where I didn't really get much sleep, but beds were actually quite comfortable. Was well over 100 people staying the night we were there...4 toilets (two normal, two long drop) 2 showers and 4 was basins...you can imagine it wasn't the cleanest... More

Clean and quite comfortable, with spacious living / dining rooms, and the log stoves giving reasonable heat and enjoyment. The dorms are okay if a bit crowded, but not damp even in February. Plenty of snacks and drinks for sale and decent varied food (though we had our own excellent cook). Even got phone signal. Showers hot and clean, washrooms... More

We stayed at Toubkal refuge two nights in order to hike up to the summit. The place is basic, yes, but then this is kind of what you expect from a mountain hut in the middle of a National Park. So this is what my review does, evaluate it on the basis of it being a mountain refuge, basic, and... More

Busy - dormitories are packed, sweaty and smelly. Showers are fairly grim but at least water was warm. Don't expect much sleep - between noisy late arrivals and people getting up any time from 3.30 to reach the summit by dawn, you won't get much rest for the long climb ahead. You stay there out of necessity but one night... More

Dont expect to much from the refuge, the beds are comfortable, you will share with another 10-15 ppl and you will sleep about 1 foot away from them. The toilets were clean, there is one sit down toilet the rest are squat type toilets. The showers were okay, you have to pay for a hot one. We didn't eat the... More

They have delicious food and big portions and the food was cheap; I had beautiful views in the rufuge. Very good localisation. The only disadvantage is: mold appeared in the bathroom; crowded in the high season.

Great place to stay. Fantastic 3 course dinner for only 50Dh to get you up the mountain the next day. You can buy water and chocolate bars there, so you don't need to carry everything with you from Imlil. They are very helpful organising guides and mules. You don't get much space in the dorms, but given that you're only... More

Stayed in this refuge for 2 nights as part of a package trekking trip. Very disappointed by the limited number of facilities (NB: despite what another reviewer says, we didnt see any BATHS). There are only 2 showers and 3 toilets for around 80+ residents. This makes for queues and also low levels of cleanliness. Dormitories are too big and... More
