Just got back from a lovely 2 weeks at Silver beach Hotel. Its hard not to agree with all the positive comments already written in previous reviews, as this is a 3* hotel, but it punches above its weight. We travelled with Travelbag and flew from Manchester to maurituis via Dubia. It's a long trip over all, but I do... More

Our first holiday to Mauritius, the country itself is paradise. Beautiful beaches, crystal clear ocean and wonderful scenery. Silver Beach Hotel is a small, friendly hotel with everything you need to have a relaxing break. Overall we had a fantastic 2week holiday. Here’s my review, with some helpful hints for others. Have just returned from 2 weeks at the Silver Beach. First the good. Staff are without exception wonderful. They are courteous, efficient, friendly, helpful and always look immaculate. Grounds and hotel are kept spotlessly clean by the staff. Beach is beautiful with plenty of sun beds and sunshades. Bad. Bathrooms are old and tired. Towels are thin, small and grey.1990's... More

Lovely small hotel, right on the beach and with a small but very nice pool. We were upgraded on arrival to a to floor sea view room, absolutely gorgeous views - rooms a bit basic, but clean and functional and with a very comfortable big bed! Tea & coffee making facilities in room, towels a bit thin but adequate and... More

We chose the Silver Beach Hotel because of it's consistently good reviews and because there is a sea breeze on the east coast. We booked the holiday through Travelbag because Travelbag have an office in Knutsford,Cheshire and it's only a 15 mile drive from where we live.We obtained the price on the internet and the Knutsford office confirmed the price... We stayed here for the first of our three weeks in Mauritius. I can't really disagree with any of the previous reviews as it is a great but small hotel. The East Coast is windy, the beach has quite a lot of sharp coral so remember reef shoes, the beach hut will arrange whatever you want but diving is offsite... More

Stayed at the Silver Beach hotel for the first two weeks in November. Arrived in time for dinner and was taken to our room almost immediately, after having a welcome cocktail. The room was a nice size with a sea view. The staff were absolutely fabulous and could not do enough to assist. Plenty of variety of food at the... More

This hotel is a real gem. Sure, it is rated 3-star as rooms do not have mega fluffy towels or luxury toiletries but they are big and spotlessly clean. ALL the staff (without exception) provide 5-star service in a quiet and unassuming way. The food is very good and they do try to cater for all tastes. I agree that... More

Silver Beach is not a "posh hotel" it is small, unassuming and full of lovely staff who will try to do all you want to make your holiday complete. Rooms are big enough, good storage and clean, we upgraded to sea view and were very happy. Air con worked which is always a plus! TV coverage is useless the usual... More
