We really struggled to find anything out about this hotel before we went so thats why Im doing this review. We booked through Mercury Direct last year and were a little worried when we found out that the hotel was closed until October 2006 for refurbishment. If you are planning a visit to this hotel, be aware that it is in the middle of nowhere. There are no other hotels, restaurants or shops within walking distance. the welcome and the staff are second to none, they couldnt be more helpful and freindly. Location ,a cab ride to the nearest town, Grand Bay. We went to the Marina resort and had a fabulous time. The food was lovely , and there was always something to eat if you felt peckish outside of the normal eating hours . Breakfast was my favourite meal there was so much to choose from- from fried breakfast to pastries! The room was very clean with a great view... more
