This is a good quality resort hotel, located well away from the more populous parts of the Red Sea - good for relaxing and some quiet dive sites. The standards at the hotel are good - the rooms are nice and airy, clean and comfortbale. Communal areas are good and with several restaurants around the site there is plenty of... more

The wife and I stayed there for our second honeymoon. The staff was nice and frinedly, the location is great nice and far from all the mass toruism, and the facilities were ncie with a lot to offer. In addition, the diving facilities UBEX were first class. The house reef is well kept with an environmental center and there is... more

I (25 years old) stayed at the Mövenpick Resort in El Quseir in mid-April 2008 with my parents and brother (18) would go back anytime! Since April is not 'high-season' the hotel was not crowded so it was really nice and quiet. We had been to Sharm-el-Sheikh before, and El Quseir is certainly a completely different experience! As there are... more

We have visited the hotel one afternoon and have asked at the reception, if we could eat on the terrace next to the pool. They said yes, so we have asked if our 3 years old child could go in to the pool while we are eating, and the person behind the desk said yes. In the moment we wanted... more

Great hotel - swiss run so very efficient, clean and well organised. We booked this in the hope of finding somewhere away from the crowds and tourist hotspots with good facilities in a beautiful setting - and we were not disappointed. The majority of guests seemed to be German & Swiss, with not many familes/kids, so it was pretty quiet... more

Fantastically relaxing hotel. Rooms were lovely, beach was good and the pool area was also nice. It felt like I was in a different country for the couple of days I stayed. The food, I thought, was absolutely fantastic. Caters well for veggies as well. Was met at the airport and the driver drove sensibly to the hotel which believe... more

Stayed a week at the Movenpick in El Quseir. The hotel itself is lovely and about 1 hour away from the airport. It's not one of those mass tourism sites where they make you were all inclusive bracelets and so on. The food was very good considering it being in Egypt and it definately did not dissapoint me at all.... more

Just returned from a week's stay at the Moevenpick El Quseir and really loved it. The small bay the hotel is located at is really nice, even the beach was better than I expected for Egypt (almost fine sand), and the possibility to enter the water directly (no need for the jetty) is a plus. A negative aspect of the... more

We spent Christmas 2007 at Moevenpick Resort, El Quseir and we were looked after very well. It is a low key resort and that's why we chose it. I would thoroughly recommend it. Good food, good staff and excellent snorkelling. Just one piece of advice would be to watch the mini bar and to check any mini bar items on... more

Overall, this is a great hotel for a bit of exposure to the sun, sea and beach. Good for diving and snorkelling. If you wished, you could spend a whole stay here without leaving the grounds of the hotel (judge for yourself whether this is good or bad). This is not a place to go if you are looking for... more
