Most people who stayed at The Breakers at Soma Bay tended to be young and sporty, but I can confirm that it was the most brilliant holiday....and we are in our 60's! The hotels location, facilities, and food were outstanding. The snorkeling is out of this world, as are the beaches (which extend forever if you enjoy walking) We booked... More

We stayed at the Breakers for one week and dived with Orca Dive Club. The accomodation is very clean and the rooms are quite big -the Kingsize Bed was extraordinary comfortable! The kitchen is changing the buffet each day -the food is very very good and fresh (no problems with our stomach)! Just a beautiful place with a familiar atmosphere... More

I went to hotel for a relaxing holiday snorkeling and diving. I was on half board. The hotel itself was very nice, situated on it`s own house reef. It is situated in Soma beach, where there are only a few other upmarket hotels. The sea is spectacular beaming with wild life. One can go snorkeling by walking over a jetty.... More

Hotel was recommended by a friend. We were a group of six people, some avid divers, some complete beginners, and some scared of water. All six packed in a great time at this hotel due to its location, facilities, friendly staff, daily activity programme, varied evening meals and proximity to the airport. Not very family orientated so that resulted in... More

This particular hotel is perfect for a sportive but relaxing holiday. I went in June for a one week stay with my mother and was pleasantly surprised by the very friendly atmosphere and service that welcomed us there. Most guests will be busy doing sports like kite surfing and diving during the day so that the pool is mostly empty... More

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. Unlike many of the more recent huge monster hotels on the Red Sea (!), it's small -about 170 rooms on 3 floors, grouped in a square round the pool. This is quite small but who cares as the reef is fabulous. Unfortunately there is no sandy beach but you can walk out... More

We went to the Breakers hotel for our Four day holiday last weekend. It was a great little Gem on the red sea of Egypt. The hotel was clean and friendly and the rooms had a great view. The staff was very nice and helpful and the ambience overall was very cozy. There is a social area with a bar,... More

Friends who work in Cairo arranged to meet us at the Breakers for a weekend of snorkelling. The facility is somewhat isolated from mainstream local and foreign tourism in Hurghada and along the coast to the north -- in fact along with adjacent resorts the area is somewhat "gated" with a requirement to hand over the vehicle license papers to... This was our second Autumn stay at the Breakers and once again for a very reasonable rate, we had a nice room with a sea view (if rather noisy aircon) and easy access to the (artificial) beach in front of the hotel and best of all, a walk along the jetty to the wonderful reef for snorkeling. The only difference... More
