we stayed at the Griffin House in July. It was a wonderful overall experience. The grounds were very well maintained. The room was spacious and very well appointed and clean. The breakfast was really very good and took special requests for dietary preferences. This location is also very close to several great Hiking trails and the Lake George Village area.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Griffin House June 30th. We enjoyed our stay very much. The guest house and main house(restaurant and bar) were lovely inside. Everything was clean and fresh, food was delicious, all personnel were more than accommodating. The exterior of the B and B needs sprucing up and the grounds need some care. Don't let... More

Wasn't quite sure what to expect especially when we pulled up to the place. It looked very rundown and in need of lots of TLC. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we stepped in and saw a cozy bar and keeping room. We were then told that the rooms were actually in the guest house behind the main Inn building.... More

We have just come back from an impromptu great extended weekend trip from the Lake George area where we stayed at the Griffin House Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly: When we called them to make reservations at 10am in the morning we were informed by the chef (of the restaurant... More

Just returned from a trip to NH for Bike Week with my husband and another couple. Booked a stop in Lake George for one night and took the Griffin House based on TA. When you first pull up you might think, "Uh-oh, run down," but you'll be directed to the guest house behind the inn and, while the outside needs... More

So, here I am in my room at the Griffin House writing a review for all of the future travelers out there and I am wondering what I can say to convince you to stay here. I should start with the obvious. The location is just off main street at a unique four-way intersection that makes a great landmark for... More

I wasnt quite sure what to expect. The website made the inn seem very elegant, but elegance is hard to find in the adirondacks ... so I didnt quite know what to think - but the rates were very reasonable so we gave it a shot. At first glance of the Inn and the surrounding area we werent quite impressed,... More

We recently had our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception at Griffin House. From our first contact with the staff at Griffin House we have been impressed. They are polite and and professional and guided us through every step of the process. The inn is charming. Since we were having a very small wedding we booked the entire inn and... More

We had 45 people in from all over NYS, NYC and Massachusettes. The staff and accommodations at Griffin House were outstanding. Each and every room has its own private bath. Connie and Jeannie went out of their way to make every aspect of our families stay the best. When there were food allergies, they remembered and made special dishes. The... More
