I wasnt quite sure what to expect. The website made the inn seem very elegant, but elegance is hard to find in the adirondacks ... so I didnt quite know what to think - but the rates were very reasonable so we gave it a shot. At first glance of the Inn and the surrounding area we werent quite impressed,... more

We recently had our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception at Griffin House. From our first contact with the staff at Griffin House we have been impressed. They are polite and and professional and guided us through every step of the process. The inn is charming. Since we were having a very small wedding we booked the entire inn and... more

We had a great three night stay. Rooms are neat and clean, and the Staff is outstanding and committed to doing a very good job. Everyone was cheerful, friendly and helpful and went out of their way to satisfy our every need. We would highly recommend this B&B for its cleanliness, good food and outstanding Staff. The Admiral more

We had 45 people in from all over NYS, NYC and Massachusettes. The staff and accommodations at Griffin House were outstanding. Each and every room has its own private bath. Connie and Jeannie went out of their way to make every aspect of our families stay the best. When there were food allergies, they remembered and made special dishes. The... more

I should start by saying I read the previous reviews and could NOT disagree more. I do believe that most of these reviews reflect stays under previous ownership. We had a fantastic time at The Griffin House. The accomodations were top notch and could only be out down by the graciousness and hospitality we recieved from the staff. The food... more

I have to say that I am an avid user of Trip Advisor, but for this particular trip, I didn't look at the tripadvisor reviews before we booked - and I'm so glad I didn't. The prior reviews are obviously old reviews - they were terrible - but this place was fantastic! It was recently taken over by new owners,... more

This place used to be called "Merrill Magee House" B & B, and was likely a nice place in its heyday; however, management changed some time before we arrived for our stay, so everything we thought we were getting based on their website was found to be quite misleading. We unfortunately didn't belong to TA at the time, but I... more

I should start by saying that this is a review of Merrill Magee's restaurant, not its hotel rooms. I should also mention that I live in the area and have eaten in many of the restaurants in the Lake George / Warrensburg area. Most of the local restaurants serve low-budget family fare. At the higher end, there are a few... more

This was perhaps one of the worst possible stays--we were looking for a romantic get-away and we found the Mrill Magee House through a search online. The pictures looked great, it seemed like an old victorian b&b with beautifully landscaped area. We called and ended up booking their Romance Package if that is what you want to call it. It... more

The website is very well done but obviously is from a year or two ago because they make it look very nice, in the country with a lot of land well landscaped. This is not the case at all, just off a main road and the grounds and buildings were in desperate need of repair. Plants were dead in their... more
