This property is absolutely beautiful. I have never seen so many flowers at any resort/inn in all my years of travel. There are fresh plantings daily. The Inn overlooks a beautiful river and the sunsets are spectacular. The food excellent and presentation is perfect. Breakfast is perfect with delicious choices. The bar has excellent choices. If you're a martini drinker,... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend here at the end of September. Karen and her people provided warm hospitality and excellent meals.....fresh and local fare. Our room was bright, spacious and well-appointed. Grounds and gardens were beautiful and view of the bay spectacular.....Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone

Isn't it wonderful that with a short 2 hour flight you can leave the bustle of Toronto behind and enjoy the serenity that Prince Edward Island offers. Thank you for your kind comments, we hope we have the chance to look after you again. Karen Davey Innkeeper More

My wife and I were at the Inn at the end of September, the last week the Inn was open for the season. The meals were exceptional, especially the breakfast included in the night's stay. We returned a second night for the dinner - a flat fee of $40 CN per person for an outstanding 3 course dinner.

Thank you for your review! I agree, Garth and Lynn do a fabulous job looking after our extensive gardens, even into the fall there were still beautiful blooms. I will make sure to pass your compliments along to the breakfast cook and the evening chefs. Karen Davey Innkeeper More

We spent 3 nights here on our trip to PEI. We chose this inn from TA reviews. Karen and her staff were very accommodating. Not sure what previous reviewer was talking about. Our room was spacious # 9. These units are connected. Ours was closest to the water and on the end. The lodging and grounds are clean and well... More

We booked this hotel after reading the rave reviews and comments about the warm welcome, exemplary service, "strangers leaving as friends" etc. When we arrived (about 5:00) we were greeted by the owner with barely a smile, handed a sheet of paper with information and advised to book for dinner if we were interested as the restaurant was filling up.... Thank you for your compliments on the decor of the main Inn building and on the breakfast which is complimentary for our room guests. I am sorry you did not enjoy our coffee, we have had the same blend prepared for us for the last 15 years and most of our guests say they enjoy the full bodied flavour, I... More

Steve thank you for your lovely review. We all enjoyed having your fishing group here and were so pleased that all of you caught at least one Bluefin Tuna! We hope to have you back to Prince Edward Island so you can fish again in the Tuna Capital of the World. More

A beautiful location and great breakfast. Unfortunately the all thermal pane windows in our room had failed. As a consequence moisture had built up between the panes of glass and we couldn’t enjoy the view. The bolts securing our toilet were loose and the toilet wobbled back and forth.

Thank you for your comments. Yes over the summer a few of the windows have experienced condensation issues, they will be replaced before we open for the season next year. With respect to the toilet, the housekeepers may not necessarily notice it is loose when they clean it, we do have maintenance personnel on staff though that would have been... More

I typically do not write many negative reviews as we spend some time researching the restaurants in the area we are staying at. This place was recommended by our bed and breakfast host as a great place to have a nice dining experience. By the looks of reviews completed by many other patrons who dine here mine should equal theirs.... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we always appreciate feedback from our guests. I am sorry you weren't pleased with your pork, I wish we had known at the time as I never expect someone to pay for something they are not satisfied with. With respect to your service I am unable to ascertain who served... More

We had a waterfront queen suite with a deck overlooking the bay. Gorgeous view of the grounds and the bay from our room and the deck. The gardens are lovely - planted to ensure blooming throughout the season. Great location to stay if you want to ride your bike on one of the most beautiful sections of the Confederation Trail... Thank you for the lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and I know Jack the cat appreciated his belly rubs! When we opened the Inn and restaurant I wanted to make sure that while our food might be classified as "gourmet" we would not serve portions that left people hungry. If you should join us again... The staff at this hotel are simply marvellous and Karen is lucky to have them. Perhaps Karen isn't lucky; instead it may boil down to her dedication and hard work to insure that her business is successful. This hotel isn't for the young folk - it caters to the older crowd that appreciate quality at every corner. Karen "gets it"... More
