As an Over the road truck driver, I see many hotels!!! I don't review ALL of them. I do read reviews by others and thank you all for helping me to decide when to keep on truckin' or to stay for the night. SO, Hotel Utica...well, when I first walked in, I felt oh, this place shouldn't be less than... More

My husband and I once again stayed at the Hotel Utica for a one night business trip. The room this year was a little nicer although dated with the big box TV and poor picture. The pillows on the bed were extremely small and no extra blankets. The breakfast is average and the setting somewhat dreary. Staff is not readily... More

I was in town for a business trip for a couple of nights. My reservation was booked under hot wire and when I arrived the gentleman at the desk tried to check me in and mentioned that the card declined. He said that their system tends to do this and once midnight comes around the card is normally approve. He... More

We apologies for failing to meet your needs. Unfortunatly when it comes to incadentials and the use of a debt card a standard $100 hold is placed on your account for the purpose of any incadential charges that may occur. The hotel can not control your banks procedures on releasing the hold which in most cases is 3 days. As... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Utica for 3 nights with two of them being for business. We both had a great time! Staff was very friendly and helpful to what we needed. The breakfast was phenomenal! They used real potatoes, real sausage, and real bacon (at least from what I could tell)! Delicious! Room was clean and spacious.... More

Been here before and enjoyed it again. The suite was lovely and very quiet. Maybe showing a little age since my last visit. The staff was wonderful, check in went smoothly, the apps at the bar and bartender were a real treat. We were made to feel like a local. Breakfast could use a little extra touch, but it was... More

We were in town for a concert at the Saranac Brewery and selected Hotel Utica for it's proximity to the venue, literally a 2 minute drive. Hotel is older but is clean and well maintained (can't say that for most of Utica though). The Lamplighter lounge in the lobby was perfect for a nightcap. What's better than hanging out with... I stayed here last summer with visiting Welsh friends, and we were astonished at the beauty and elegance of this hotel. Our rooms were comfortable, affordable, and well-appointed, but what really impressed was the hotel itself. The lobby takes one back into the past, where beauty was paramount. The eight crystal chandeliers, the belle époque furniture, the grand piano, were... More

We needed a place to stay in central New York and found there were not a lot of options due to college parent's weekends. We veered away from the cookie cutter hotels and tried Hotel Utica. We were very pleased with the high floor room we requested -- so few places actually honor requests. Our room was very spacious, clean... More

I was in Utica for work (I don't know why else you would be in Utica...) and this was not my type of hotel. There is a difference between "historic" and "dilapidated". It is in serious need of renovation- the rooms are so dark (half of my room seriously had not even a lamp), the beds are flimsy, the furniture... More
