We stayed for over a week at the Borgo Rapale and loved it. Fortunato and Gisella were so warm, helpful and welcoming and tried to make everything perfect for us. Our room was quite large and nicely furnished, but the best thing about Borgo Rapale is the quiet, beautiful location. We took several walks around the small hamlet of Rapale... More

This was our third time to stay at Borgo Rapale over the last nine years, so obviously we love it there! This time we travelled with 2 couples, whereas previously we had travelled with our 3 children. It is a perfect place to stay to appreciate the Tuscan countryside, while also allowing day trips to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Cortona... More

I travelled to Borgo Rapale with a watercolour workshop. we had a 5star experience. Our host Gisella and Fortunato made our stay very special. It is a perfect place to get away from it all! One hour from Florence, slip back in time, I could return today even though it is getting cold there. It would still be magical.

Last year we stayed at Borgo Rapale for two weeks, and just loved it so much we booked again this year. There are many return visitors, and it becomes like "going home". Gisella and Fortunato are the most wonderful hosts, so accomodating and helpful. One of our suitcases was lost in Amsterdam airport, it took 6 days to finally arrive... More

The best you can imagine. A 500 years-old cottage or small village on a hilltop with 9 inhabitants, no one is younger, than 75. Quiet, breezy place on the Chianti Route. Such hilltops are very convenient in Tuscany, you can sleep with no airco and open windows. No noise at all. 24 km far from Siena. Every apartments are very... More

Our 5 night stay at Borgo Rapale was a wonderful experience. The village is set high on a hill with wonderful views and the location is central to all the beautiful places to visit in Tuscany, we drove to most and took public transport to some. The owners, Gisella and Fortunato welcomed us warmly and provided lots of local information... More

So much to do so little time! Borgo Rapale is an excellent location to travel around Tuscany. We had never visited Tuscany and did not know where to make our home base. We arrived in Rome, stayed there 4 days, then went to Florence for 3 days. Do not drive from Borgo Rapale to Luca and Pisa. It is too... More

My husband and I stayed at Borgo Rapale for 7 nights during our visit to Italy for our 30th anniversary. Borgo Rapale is a beautiful and romantic place to experience Tuscany and the Italian lifestyle. We stayed in the Eduardo apartment, which was spacious, beautiful, clean and comfortable. The owners, Gisella and Fortunato, were very welcoming and friendly. They provided... More
