My husband and I recently stayed here with another couple. We had an amazing weekend and the Inn at Gothic Eves was a big part of that. Rose was very nice and welcoming. She made one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! All of the ingredients were local and organic. And she always had great recommendations for lunch and... More

Thank you for your feedback. You have written a wonderful review. Though I have to correct you. I try every morning to serve as much as possible organic and local ingredients. Sometimes, I can only do one or the other and sometimes, neither. My menus are designed to incorporate as much as possible but some mornings there are no substitutes... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of July along with his sister and her new fiance. We were very happy to have found an availability here as we did book rather last minute. The four of us arrived a little late into the night, but were given the code to gain access into the b&b. We found... More

Thank you for taking time to do this. My guests get a feel for the Inn's unique attributes that may not be easily understood from just visiting the website. My guests become part of this business when they take the time to share their thoughts. So they can also take credit for the 20 years of improvements and my style... More

Our family took all the rooms but one (that poor couple!) at Gothic Eves so we could participate in a local Relay Triathlon. We had many different rooms. Our room had a king size bed and a king size shower. Some of the rooms had smaller showers and beds. The breakfasts we excellent! It rained one afternoon so we all... More

Thank you for the review. A family of athletes you have raised, you should be proud of yourselves. These guests did not mention that they had two teams too. Congrats on succeeding in your races. Iron Man is next! More

My husband and I stayed at The Inn at Gothic Eves for part of our honeymoon. Rose was welcoming, accommodating, and her breakfasts were absolutely superb. The fruit was fresh and her ingredients were locally grown and purchased. It was obvious that she is a skilled cook. The rooms were cozy, clean, and had just the right atmosphere. Whenever we... We were originally looking to stay in Watkins Glen, but fortunately for us everything was booked and we found this gem! Located in the heart of wine country and a short drive to Ithaca or Watkins Glen, The Inn at Gothic Eves exceeded our expectations. Rose and her dedicated team were beyond accommodating. The rooms were beautifully decorated and equipped... More

Thank you for such a delightful review. Not many people appreciate Eve the barn cat. We love her too. I am glad that you appreciated our efforts in the kitchen to respect your diet needs. Thank you for telling me before you arrived, it allows me time to research ideas. I take it as a challenge and what can I... More

We have stayed here during the Grassroots Festival for 18 of the last 20 years. Rose has made a constant and successful effort to update and improve the accommodations over the years. Her breakfasts continue to be an outstanding highlight! It's a beautiful and accommodating place in a wonderful area with lots to do. Well worth a visit.

Thank you for returning and making the middle of my season so wonderful. As much as people seem to enjoy their stay with me, I think I still have the best deal visiting with you. I tried to count the number of guests that have come for as many years as you guys. I came up with 12 and then... More

What a wonderful treat to stay at Gothic Eves! My brother, who is from the Ithaca area, recommended GE, and I was not disappointed. My room was spotlessly clean (and I'm very picky) and very cozy, inspiring one to kick off their shoes, read and take a nap. Ithaca has lush farmland with abundant produce so breakfast was filled with... More

Your comments are appreciated. I do try to be available to my guests, including check in. It is rare that I am not able to be present. My friends think I should be able to let all of you check yourselves in but I feel it is important to get the feel of the property and the things it can... More

Rose did a magnificent job with this winter's projects. I believe she told me she totally redid four bathrooms and a couple of bedrooms, so if you read the room choice tips from previous guests, realize that older ones may no longer be accurate. The Pinot Room's bathroom is now entered directly from the bedroom, so it's completely private. The... More

Thank you Mimi and Tom. The project was finished by the beginning of May 2014, so Mimi is right about the old reviews. The rooms affected were the Bordeaux, Syrah, Merlot, Pinot and Riesling. Much of the comments in the reviews have been addressed as much as possible. The photos from the website portray the changes well. The changes that... More

We have been staying at Gothic Eves for years during the Grassroots Festival. Once again Rose and her hospitality were a huge part of another fun-filled successful festival. The breakfasts were excellent! Every year Rose seems to add something new that makes the Inn even more charming and welcoming. Really love our stay and already look forward to next year!

This was our second stay at Gothic Eves, and once again we were thoroughly pleased. Rose is so charming and pleasant you won't feel like leaving when the time comes. Breakfast was great again. We opted for the smallest room this time, and it was rather small for two people. No closet, very small shower. Bed was very comfortable. It... More

You stayed in the Riesling Suite this time. This room and the Seneca Suite do have standard showers. The other suites had much more room to enlarge the showers when I was renovating. If you are looking for a room that is the least expensive suite but packed with lots of charm and convenience to the first floor, this is... More
