We wanted to stay a couple of nights and check out Fort Ticonderoga. The Stone House was overall a pleasant enough place, and the price was right. Two concerns however: the lock on the door was the flimsyest I've ever seen -not even a chain to give the illusion of safety. The 2nd problem was in the bathroom, which contained... more

Visited Ticonderoga to see the Fort, which was great. Hotel was easy to find on the main street of the town. Staff was friendly. Rooms were reasonably comfortable. Facility could use a new interior paint job to provide more up to date, neutral colors and a new rug in the main building. We also had some problems with the air... more

The owners were nice on the phone. If you check in at 7:50pm like us be careful since they close the front desk. There is not somebody there 24 hours.Desk closed at 8pm. I do not know how we were to get in if we came after 8pm. It has a microwave, and fridge which is a plus. However the... more

The office is open 1pm - 10pm daily,365 days a year,office number 24 hours a day year round.The front desk staff is allowed a dinner break.All rooms have in room coffee.The coffee pots are set up the morning of guest arrival.No need to measure anything just turn on & fresh coffe is ready.
