Clean and comfortable rooms, family friendly environment . Covered area with grill and tables provided. Electrical power available for charging batteries for your boats. Make reservations early as rooms fill up fast.

Recommended if you're in a pinch. We arrived at 2pm on a Saturday, after explaining we had a wedding at 3. The (albeit very nice) woman who works there had to drive over to meet us at the hotel (appx 10 minutes) so we could check in. I would also request one of the rooms that is not in the... More

Stay at this hotel on a family road trip, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone... We stayed (for a very short period of time). Ended up getting a refund of our money and driving to Plattsburgh area to get a hotel there. This area is a very small town, where everything closes down at night, even most of... More

Stayed here 2 nights. Room appearance, smelled dirty, smelled it stale smoke. Bed blanket was torn, bed pillows were flat as a pancake. Toilet in bathroom situated so you had to sit sideways on seat , other wise you would be hitting the shower . Sink doesn't drain properly . Shower glass doors allowed shower water to leak all over... We stayed as a group in three rooms. The consensus was between good and very good, and I am giving them the benefit of the doubt here. As another reviewer mentioned, we did not get exactly the rooms we requested, but the staff accommodated us so we were satisfied. One person had an issue about the cleanliness of the bathroom,... I have been staying at the stone house for many years. Being an avid tournament fisherman on Lake Champlain, Iam always looking for comfortable lodging. For some unknown reason the owner of the Stone House Motel has given my room away after I had already booked it 9 months earlier the past 2 years. She told me she gave my... More

We wanted to stay a couple of nights and check out Fort Ticonderoga. The Stone House was overall a pleasant enough place, and the price was right. Two concerns however: the lock on the door was the flimsyest I've ever seen -not even a chain to give the illusion of safety. The 2nd problem was in the bathroom, which contained... More

Visited Ticonderoga to see the Fort, which was great. Hotel was easy to find on the main street of the town. Staff was friendly. Rooms were reasonably comfortable. Facility could use a new interior paint job to provide more up to date, neutral colors and a new rug in the main building. We also had some problems with the air... More

The owners were nice on the phone. If you check in at 7:50pm like us be careful since they close the front desk. There is not somebody there 24 hours.Desk closed at 8pm. I do not know how we were to get in if we came after 8pm. It has a microwave, and fridge which is a plus. However the... More
