Since this is the only place to stay in the area, they have a captured audience. Needs lots of improvement. There was a fire across the street and you could smell the smoke everywhere. The rooms are adequate for a motel 6. Not worth what they charge. The beds should of been change a couple of years ago. Service for... More

Hello Greg, My name is Stephanie and my husband, Hugo and I are the manager and chef of the Wellesley Hotel. We were sad to see you did not enjoy your stay with us. The fire across the street was not something we were able to control as you might imagine. We know that because of the fire, which devastated... More

My wife and I had dinner here on a warm afternoon. The scene from the verandah is picture perfect adjacent a nice park, surrounded nby beautiful 'fairy tale' cottages with views across the water. The wait staff were informative and attentive. The menu had a good selection of appetising dishes. My grilled salmon was cooked to perfection. All in all... More

Cutting to the chase, the most unappealing aspect of this restaurant is, by far, the food. We hand selected this restaurant to honor and thank our long time river resident hosts. We were completely embarrassed. The food was horrendous. Two guests ordered the crab cakes and they were nothing but hush puppies. The salmon was completely unremarkable. The dinner salad... More

I stayed at the Wellesley Hotel for one night. The room was super clean. The bathroom was small but also clean. I felt like I was in in the late eighteen hundreds, which was awesome. I believe that I couldn't have had a better experience in the other hotels of the region. The location was also fantastic, since you are... More

We met a friend of ours for dinner. Great dinner, relaxing, awesome view while having dinner on the porch. Waiter was informative and accommodating. It was pricey but very much in-line with any 5star restaurant. We will go back again next year.

i happened on this hotel by accident, because all others were booked in area. this was a blessing in disguise! this is a small 1800's hotel that is trying to keep true to their origins. the owners are friendly & experienced. the rooms are cozy, clean, & comfortable, with ceiling fans for those very rare warm nights. some rooms have... I thank the chefs for braving an interesting fine dining menu, It was a menu and experience that would have made Ed Noble (TI Club founder and Life Saver inventor) proud of the experience. I hope that residents and visitors will take a night off of burgers and Pizzas and enjoy a true culinary experience, good luck to Hugo and... More

My Great and Great Great Grandfathers stayed in this hotel in the early 1900's and it was one of the reasons my Sister, her 7 family members and I stayed in the hotel this past week. It was soooo hot and humid but even though there is no A/C....nobody thought of that way back when.... the giant ceiling fans and... More

Even though the hotel hasn't opened for the summer and the owners have changed, I can already tell you it's going to be worth a trip! The new chef, Karin Lapusnak has been the executive chef at a few other northern NY favorites of mine and she is great!! The Brinkmans will be missed; there will never be a replacement... More

Reservations are a must here. As others have mentioned, this is a way the past used to be. The service was great and the food exceptional. We started off with the calamari; it was very nice and not over powering on the sauces. We then moved into the Greek Style chicken dumplings, tasted great, Grilled duck breast, the best I... More
