A dear friend secured 6 rooms for a celebratory overnight with friends. The location is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are expansive. If you don't mind walking down long winding paths throughout the property as well as those in the buildings, then Tarrytown House Estate has lot to see. It is truly lovely. Unfortunately, our experience with the front desk... More

A beautiful tranquil estate , overlooking the. Hudson River , with superior service, describes the Tarrytown Estate. If you book directly with the site in the beginning of the week there is a 20% discount which makes your stay a wonderful escape at a terrific price. The stay is worth the original price too. Unfortunately the "cellar" is in a... More

I will start by warning couples -- do not come here thinking you will have a romantic getaway! It is nearly impossible. If somehow you come across a great rate and you want to attempt it, well then... Ask for a remote room (not sure where, and no assurance you'll get it), bring a bottle (or 10) of champagne and... I was hear for a business conference and the hotel was very accomodating. The food was good and I especially enjoyed the restuarant/bar down stairs where we ate the first night. The estate itself was quite large and you seemed pretty secluded which gave it a great feel. The views were amazing and it was actually very peaceful.

My husband and I went here for a one night anniversary stay. We really loved it. The outdoor pool was really nice with a little bar beside it. There was an indoor pool with a great jacuzzi hottub. However there were not many places to sit beside the indoor pool. It was also a little hard to breathe in there.... More

I went here as part of a work retreat. The beds were very comfortable. The pool is beautiful. The food is top notch. The grounds and garden are incredibly scenic. If it was a little cheaper, I would recommend this place to my parents when they come. However, rooms here tend to be a bit pricey.

My husband and I were on our way home from our honeymoon and decided to get a room for one more night a little closer to home. We booked a king suite room at Tarry Town House because of the awesome reviews online. After we checked in the General Manager Joe came out to help us with our luggage. He... More

I really wanted to love this place, but there just wasn't enough good to outweigh the bad or so-so. REASON FOR STAY: We came here for our 10 year anniversary as the first overnight away together since our first child was born in 2010! BOOKING: I booked online, and then followed up immediately with a phone call as I had... More

Our room was clean but a little bit dated. I was pleased that upon my arrival I expressed concern over the lack of elevators and was moved to an accessible room on the first floor. The grounds are beautiful, but a little difficult to get to with the many stairs and hills. The pool was clean and the staff very... More
