Outstanding physical beauty, an historic homestead that has been lovingly cared for, and great breakfasts equal a real sense of peace and pleasure, even during a business offsite! Will return; host Tom Uberuaga offers a quality of hospitality that perfectly fits Nehapwa's serenity. Highly recommend.

Wow did this trip exceed our expections! This estate is absolutely stunning. It has been meticulously renovated for over a decade. The house, gardens, and all the views create an amazing environment where you feel like you are 3000 miles from Manhattan. Jeff the owner takes the stay to another level as he anticipates all your needs before you have... More

This is THE perfect house for family or small business gatherings...not to mention the incredible and expansive views of the Catskills. You can enjoy the intimacy of a fire in your own room to group gatherings in the family room to dinner events in the dining room and/or the front porch. Jeff and his Nehapwa staff have attended to every... More

No detail over-looked at this stylish, laid-back historical estate within driving distance of NYC. 4 couples and we had a great time. Food was amazing and planned per our specifications, (great chef) and the comfortable top tier vibe in this original restored "arts and cratfs" grand home was unbeatable. Beautiful grounds and expansive back porch looks out onto one of... More

Four bicyclists wanted to find a comfortable base for rides with accesss to good food. At Nehapwa we hit the jackpot. The food was in house and better than good. Jeff answered e-mails and phone call attentively to cater to our needs. Hearty breakfasts fortified us for challenging rides on a rainy weekend. We enjoyed the early returns to meditate... More

This is an architecturally interesting 1892 Arts and Crafts building that has been beautifully restored. It has wonderful mountain views with a great back porch. Food is cooked at our request as to menu etc. Great gourmet breakfasts. Convenient to hiking trailheads and challenging biking and Hudson River art venues.

Deciding what to do for my partner's 40th birthday was stressing me out. I was well into planning a dinner for 8 in the city and still feeling 'not that special'. A friend told me about her stay at Ienia so I checked out the website and connected with the owner, Jeff. I invited 3 other couples to arrive Friday... More

In our early stages the name of the Inn was Ienia. We since changed the name of the Inn to Nehapwa once we learned the domain for Ienia was no longer available. As things go, we and our guests love the new brand - Nehapwa is a derivative of the Iroquois word that means 'to find again'. Thanks for you... More

I had the good fortune to spend some time at Ienia last Spring and the memory of such a wonderful time lingers. The home is spectacular, immaculate, tasteful and welcoming. The views from all angles are spectacular that I never wanted to leave the property. There's plenty of space to sit both indoor and out and explore the lovely property.... More

I had the rare luxury to spend several weeks at Ienia, in the main house at Nehapwa. I was living in Manhattan and seeking a dose of nature -- a chance to do some writing (for work), while detoxing from the city. The experience was extraordinary -- and, as I look back, life changing. In short, my visit led me... More
