Just returned from a 1 night stay at the Wingate Inn in Syracuse, New York. My friends and I decided to stay at this hotel due to the fact that the manager was kind enough to give us a discounted rate at $99.99. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly receptionist. All the paper work was done within minutes.... more

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by cornfields. You will think it is in Syracuse, or close to it, but downtown is at least 10-12 minutes away by highway. It is absolutely near nothing, and is a much cheaper version of the Wingate by Windham properties. The rooms are very bland with no taste at all and... more

Just spent a great weekend at the Wingate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the pool and hot tub were a plus. From reading other reviews, I was aware that the location was off the beaten path and it definitely was. Looks there are big plans to build an indoor water park next to... more

The new Wingate by Wyndham may be one of the best little secrets in the Syracuse area. We have stayed there twice. Both times we were just passing through on the New York State Thruway and arrived late and left early. We found it to be modestly priced and to have many amenities not offered by more expensive hotels –... more

Traveling from Toronto to NYC and wanted a rest mid-drive. The hotel is not exactly in the heart of Syracuse, but it is very well maintained and has great customer service. We checked in very late at night, and it was a quick painless experience. The continental breakfast was ok, though I wish the hours were not so restrictive, as... more

We stopped here on our way from Canada to Boston. Chose it based on TripAdvisor reviews, and we also had a very good experience. They provide free extended continental breakfast, free crib for the baby, free internet. My kids spent most of the time in heated indoor pool. Nothing to complain about. more

We stayed at Wingate Inn for one night. The location was isolated and there were a lot of industrial buildings and scraps around the building. Although the location was not very central, my husband and I could not find anything wrong with the hotel itself. It was clean, large rooms, good bathroom, good hot breakfast, good friendly service. For a... more

Although a bit isolated, I really enjoyed my stay here. The facility was new and very clean. The staff was nice and very friendly. There is a Quaker Steaks and Lube restaurant next door with a gravel road connecting them, a safe way to get back if you've gotten too "lubed" next door. The only fault I found was that... more

I stayed at the Wingate for 2 weeks and enjoyed it. True, it's sort of in the middle of no where but it is easy to find and it was quiet. No road noise, sirens, etc. The room was great. All the advertised amenities. Very clean; good housekeeping staff. The free internet was wonderful especially during an extended stay. All... more

We stayed at this hotel on May 17 through May 19 upon the advice of other friends. The room was nice and clean, spacious. Bed very comfortable, bathroom huge, worked well, fridge (not cold enough) microwave, coffee maker. The hotel lobby not that clean.Management friendly and accommodating (answered your questions, asked you how your day was, smiled) You can hear... more
