This is my favorite place to stay in Syracuse. The building has great history, and the rooms are modern, beautiful and comfortable. Location is great - near downtown, hosptials and the university, as well as some really great restaurants. Best, it is affordable enough that it fits within both business or leisure travel budgets.

Half way point on a road trip to Boston. Very nice hotel, extremely comfortable bed, nice decor keeping with the shell from the synagogue and theatre. Complimentary shuttle to downtown makes it easy to enjoy Syracuse without the hassle of driving and parking. Water pressure in the room was so weak had to use the sink to wash my hair.... More

The hotel was located steps from Syracruse University campus. It was very nicely decorated inside with stained glass as a backdrop for reception. It had a lovely lobby with fireplace and area where free and delicious breakfast was served each morning. The check in was easy and the lady at the podium ( no desk) was friendly and very accommodating... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Skyler over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel definitely has a unique feel, but is warm and relaxing. The staff is very professional, courteous and welcoming. We wanted to be close to the campus and downtown areas so we could walk to dining/shops in the evenings in what felt like a relatively safe environment,... More

I've stayed here many times before this review , but I know feel compelled to speak up. Although this cute hotel is conveniently located on the Syracuse univ campus, I am disappointed in the lack of quality amenities The gym is a joke. 2 of the 3 treadmills are inoperative and the TV in this 12 x12 room barely works.... I'm told this hotel is a former Jewish temple. As such, the building's interior is laid out differently than most conventional box hotels. The lobby is warm and inviting with a fireplace and chairs to take a rest or read by the fireplace. Morning breaking is continental and free. While a continental breakfast, it is more upscale than the typical... More

Hotel Skyler is a beautiful property in a good location of Syracuse. Our room was stylish but modern with clean cuts, bright accent colors and modern furniture including a mini fridge and HD TV with many channels. The bathroom was extraordinary, spacious and beautiful but functional with great water pressure. We didn't have a whole lot of interaction with the... More

Clean, convenient, and courteous staff makes our stay wonderful at this lovely Hotel. We will reserve there again & again whenever we visit Syracuse!! Coffee and,,,, in the lobby is an extra delight. We take three rooms with our family and are pleased with every one. Looking forward to our next visit.

Kudos to Hotel Skyler in Syracuse NY for their Green/Environmentally Conscious design. A renovated synagogue, it's layout is unique. You walk in to see a pretty stained glass wall behind the front desk and a nice cafe/hang out area w fireplace. Our room was awesome w high ceilings, lots of space, comfy bed and pillows, great bathroom. Neat "always open"... More

The Hotel Skyler was a very convenient and comfortable stay. My child had an overnight visit at Syracuse University and I needed a hotel for one night. I originally wanted to book at the Sheraton but they were full. When I searched for another hotel, the Skyler came up. I've never stayed in a boutique hotel before and loved this... More
