We found the front desk staff to be mediocre at best. We had reserved a room with an extra roll away bed, but upon arrival were told that none was available and that none were permitted in our room. After much research, and reading all the user reviews about this hotel and others on tripadvisor, we canceled our reservation at Residence Inn (Plainview) and decided to go with the Fairfield Inn in Syosset. This Fairfield Inn is franchised(they probably all are, im not sure). It does a great job in giving everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staffs are well trained and remembers your name, very knowledgeable about the area too. I had a king bed single. The bedroom was small but the bathroom was large. The staff couldn't be nicer, calling to make sure everything was OK, and greeting me every time I entered the hotel. Hotel was clean, convenient, and for me the parking was not an issue, but the lot is small. more

I noticed this hotel only received a 2-star rating on some sites, but I don't know why. We had a wonderful stay. We travel to Long Island yearly and always stay at the Fairfield Inn. The rooms are rather small but they are comfortable. The breakfast provided is adequate and has some tasty pastries. Stayed here for family get-together so accommodations were made for us. Lobby was probably the nicest part of the hotel. Parking was tight and at a premium - there's a tiny lot in front and difficult to navigate for vans or larger vehicles. This is a nice hotel for it's class, but several things in the room were in miniature. Even though we had a king size bed in the room the bed appeared to be cut off to allow enough room to pass between the bed and the TV. If you are tall, your feet dangle off the end of the bed.... more
