I stayed at the Howard Johnson Inn in Suffern for a week when I first came to Ramapo. The price was reasonable, especially for Rockland County. An average motel, but good for the price. If you need some place to crash and get your batteries charged for a few nights, this is a good and affordable spot. Alan J Mase

I stay once a week for business. The room is always clean and smoke free. The front desk is always polite and friendly. I've stayed in many rooms and they all appear to be exactly the same so there is never a surprise. Included breakfast makes it a little easier. Larger coffee cups would be nice but you really can't... More

More convenient than driving into Mahwah to stay, the great location at the center of Ramapo near Town Hall and Wal-Mart that reduces driving time offsets any below average attributes. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. However, the facilities are dated, including easy-to-replace carpets (as many other commenters have noted). Slept well. Safe; however, a surprised guest family (next... More

Our hotel is ideally located close to throughway and offers easy access to other places of interest because of its location. The hotel is above the economy class of hotels and yet suitable for middle income travelers on the budget. It is managed as per the brand standards of which the customers are well aware. We wish to thank you... More

I have repeatedly strayed at this facility, and i felt room clean, linen clean and a plenty , service very prompt ( I asked an iron to be changed and it was changed in 10 minutes ). The breakfast is rapidly replenished as there were several guests who also packed their lunch from breakfast items. The front office persons are... More

Service was awful. There were not enough towels and when we called front desk, the answer was that they didn't have anybody else to help and that we had to go downstairs to pick it up. The air conditioning was not working. The people at front desk were very rude. When we complained, they were actually talking back. We planned... More

The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was that the place had a strong smell. When we headed down the hallway towards our room, all the maids in the hallways stopped and stared at us. It made us feel quite uncomfortable. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

This Hotel is quite adequate and good but the carpet in the room is old and damp and the lobby is small and not well ventilated/air conditioned. the elevator is hot and not ventilated . the bathroom is ok but not very clean and the water was running all the time due to a faulty faucet. if you can afford... This is an outdated hotel. When I walked in the light fixture that was supposed to be mounted on the wall was sitting on the desk. The elevators are actually kind of scary and they smelled terrible. House keeping was not the best. Luckily I had brought some extra bathroom items because when they cleaned the room they failed to... More

We feel that the findings are a bit exaggerated . At least we are aware of some Guest 'S thoughts after having and running this franchise for so many years. We are very much concerned about guests view, how Outlandish they may seen to be. We would try to improve and hope your next experience would be a good one.... More

This hotel was worst of the worst. The property was dirty, the rooms were filthy, and the front desk workers were nasty. This hotel is not family friendly. The rooms smelled like cigarettes and we asked for non smoking rooms. Also there were some mildew smells around our rooms and hotel. The front desk people always seem to have a... More

Thanks for your current stay. We rarely get customers through third party reservation and most of our guests are repeat customer through other channel. We observed that your findings are a bit overstated in comparison to our brand standards, However, it gives us pleasure in reviewing your input as a valued guest. We thank you very much for your input... More
