We were enticed by the review in the AAA Travel Guide, which gives The Three Village Inn three stars. The inn itself and the food were good, though overpriced, but the "cottage" we were assigned was equal to a tourist cabin in the early fifties, and maybe that's when it was built. The bathroom was a mess - the toilet... more

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I booked the room online: king size bed with a view of the harbor. I arrived to find a double bed with no view. After bringing this to the attention of the front desk, they changed my room to one with a "view" (no king beds available). I wouldn't call it a... more

I traveled to Long Island for a wedding. A neighbor of mine who grew up in Stony Brook recommended the Three Village Inn as "the place to stay," but when I looked on Tripadvisor, I balked at the rates. I then went online and found a bed and breakfast that looked nice, its rates were lower than the Tripadvisor rates... more

My fiance and I were thinking of having our wedding at the Three Village Inn. The wedding co-ordinator was amazing and she worked with my budget. They showed me the rooms and at first I thought 'How Quaint!'...then they told me the price. Trust me....if your family is flying in for your wedding and staying in these ver y small... more

December is, admittedly, not the best time of year to visit Long Island. We were there for a friend's wedding which was held at the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook. We were greeted warmly upon check-in and pointed in the general direction of our bungalow room which was reached by a maze-like walk through the back of the inn,... more

I have been here before, and it wasn't quite desirable, but my last stay (?) provoked me to write a review on here. I made a reservation 1 month before my stay for an October Weekend with my wife. The reservation process was pleasant enough. When I arrive at the location, they couldn't find my reservation and this young employee... more

We had booked the "Romantic Getaway" for October 27, however upon check-in, that package wasn't noted. When the wine and cheese platter finally arrived, it consisted of cheese, fruit and pre-packaged STALE Saltine and Ritz crackers! We would have expected higher quality from this Inn. The discount cards given to us from the front desk had expired the month prior... more

The grounds are beautiful, the hotel is clean but some of the staff are rude. We were in room #3 and the bathtub didn't drain and the music & screaming women were right under our bed on Friday night. If you want sleep don't get room #3 on the weekend. Our friends were getting married & had reserved many rooms... more

I booked the Three Village Inn for a reunion with two friends, and thought it would be a great Inn based on the grounds, and the reception area and other common areas I saw when I stopped there to see it. I didn't see any of the rooms as it was a weekend and the guests hadn't checked out yet,... more

We stayed at the Village Inn for four nights in July of 2007. Having grown up in Stony Brook I wanted to stay at the Village Inn based upon it's location and fond memories. Well .... the place needs a serious face lift. Where should I begin? The "cottage" we stayed at was filthy: the "carpet" was so worn and... more
