As an alert to all guests, this hotel just declared bankruptcy according to news reports. I am not sure if this affects reservations but you may want to inquire about this. more

Worst hotel I've been to by far. I gave it a 1 because I couldn't give it a 0. It's that bad!! Seemed like it should charge by the hour. I needed a late check in at around 10pm. I call at 8 to confirm that I'm on my way. I get there at10 and find that despite booking a... more

I’m currently staying at the Staten Island Hotel, (checking out on 17 Aug 09) and my stay here thus far has been anything but pleasant. Upon checking in, the receptionist acted as if she was too busy to wait on me, everything seems so rushed. (But she was just one person, and I’m not going to judge the staff on... more

We had two events to go to over the course of a weekend-- both in Staten Island-- so this seemed the logical choice. When I booked the room, the price was $139 / night. A week before we arrived the rooms were at $114 / night, so I called to ask for this lower rate. I spoke with Tony, and... more

This was one of the worst hotel stays of my life. We chose this hotel because it was near Wagner College and my whole family needed to stay there for graduation. We booked 3 rooms through Hotels.com, then realized that we only needed 2. When we tried to cancel 3 days in advance, they said that we needed to contact... more

I stayed here with my mom for my sister's graduation from Wagner College. We got a GREAT price on the room, as someone who works in a hotel in a college town I was concerned that the rates would be astronomical since it was graduation weekend. We stayed for two nights and even though we didn't stay in the room... more

I have stayed at this property before because it was recommended to me by an associate, and that stay was perfect. Now I am reviewing it and recommending it to anyone who needs accommodations on Staten Island. It is located about 150 yards from Exit 7 off of I-278 and has plenty of free parking. It is clean (spotless lobby... more

We've used the Staten Island Hotel a few times now, since it's cheaper staying than right in NYC, and the Staten Island ferry is close to the hotel and free. The rooms are nothing to write home about, but are clean and comfortable. The price is much less than in NYC, too. During this last stay, the service was great.... more
