This has got to be the most unique place I have ever stayed. Even the photo's on here do not do it justice. From the moment you enter the welcoming front porch and into the property you just feel "at home". The Owner, Paul, made us feel welcome and led us to our beautiful room on the first floor. We... more

I stayed at Fort Place during the last part of my holidays in and around New York and after having stayed in a couple of midtown hotels earlier in the trip Fort Place was a welcome and quiet venue. The $80/night rate (all inclusive) was a great deal too! Paul (the owner) met me on arrival and showed me around... more

Price, however, is not the most attractive feature of this hidden gem of a hotel. It is the friendliness of the host and the vintage charm of the interiors that make the best impression. As well as the fact that the B&B is just a 5-minute walk away from the Staten Island Ferry. That means, 30 minutes away from Manhattan... more

We Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of November. Paul, the owner of the B&B was very accommodating and delivers breakfast to the room every morning. The room was clean and warm. I specifically asked for the room on the top floor as it has its own bathroom. The location is excellent, only a 5 minute walk from... more

We stayed for a week in the charming Fort Place B and B on Staten Island. The owner, Paul was very helpful throughout our stay and made sure that we were comfortable. We enjoyed the included breakfast which consisted of bagels, bread, fruit and freshly brewed coffee and tea. Everything was very clean with spacious bedrooms with the hint of... more

Great old wooden house, close to the ferry. The owner was very polite and left us to relax. We had 2 large rooms with a private adjoining passage, air con worked well, rooms also had wi-fi access and tv. Clean and comfortable. Would definately stay here again. more

Very comfortable, quiet B & B. It was a hot night and the a/c worked great. Very convenient location - just walk to the ferry and you're in Manhatten. Breakfast was fine - a hot cup of coffee and bread and fruit delivered to the room. The place was very very clean and the bed most comfortable. I would go... more

We (a family of 5) with 3 teens just spent our 1st weekend in New York, New York, USA. It was great. The bed and breakfast is very clean, the beddings were clean and did not smell old like some older homes do. We stayed on the 3rd floor, we had a room with a queen size bed, daughter had... more

Excellent location, near to the ferry terminal. The decor is cool, with original paintings by the host himself. We enjoyed the breakfast, delivered on a tray to your room. Highly recommended! more
