We stayed at the navy lodge during a vacation with a cruise and time in New York City. The place is very comfortable and well priced for the area. The breakfast options offered are not extensive but you do have a kitchenette. Grocery stores are not too far. You are right near bus stops for transportation and if you need... More

A great stay. The room was nice, we saw 3 deer on the lawn at night. You can walk to a pretty nice beach on base 15 minutes away. They do need better maps of the place to hand out. It's quite large ( the whole instillation) and finding the MWR was a pain due to the hand drawn sketch... More

The rooms were clean and very nice. I loved that they had a nice size microwave, a full size refrigerator, a stove, dishes, silverware and even a cork screw. The Navy Lodge was reasonable and very comfortable. The beds were spacious and the pillows were great! The breakfast was filling and the price to stay at the Lodge could not... More

Being able to stay at the Navy Lodge made our BFF birthday trip possible. The accommodations are great. The room was spacious, comfortable & well appointed. The staff was unfailingly polite & helpful. We did not partake of the breakfast but noticed the lobby was full of kids in pjs who seemed quite happy with the offerings. It takes about... More

Can't beat the price, location, and friendly staff! Ingrid was especially helpful - she called her favorite restaurant on Thanksgiving night (Nino's) to see if they were open. Even though they had already started shutting down the kitchen, they told her to send us over and they'd take care of us...great meal, indeed!

This was our second stay at the Navy Lodge on Staten Island. It is located at the foot of the Verrazano Bridge on a little Coast Guard Station. The hotel and parking are on post so very safe. You can go to MWR on station to purchase public transportation passes. $31 gives you unlimited to buses and subway for a... More

Wow! Talk about bang for your buck. If you have a family and are on a budget this is the place to stay to see NYC. Located right next to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and Fort Wadsworth Battery Weed and Lighthouse, you have access to an amazing park to explore. Our kids loved walking the trail. Great place for pictures.... More

this is a great place if you want to have some quiet at night. We visited NYC and stayed at the lodge. The room had linoleum flooring, which is great if you struggle with allergies. The window actually opened! The only trade off is that it does take an hour to get to the ferry, park the car, and ride... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was outstanding with 2 clean beds, clean everything, a nice little kitchen with fridge, 2 burner stove and real dishes. We have stayed at the swanky Upper East Side Marriot and it was poor by comparison to the Navy Lodge. The bus stop to go to the ferry and return was... More

Great stay while visiting NYC. Park your car at the Navy Lodge and take bus 51 for $2.75 to Staten Island ferry and ride for free to Manhattan. It takes less than an hour. Rooms are clean and staff was helpful for our first visit to NYC. Local restaurants deliver to the lodge. Kitchenette has all the essentials to cook... More
