I am writing this review on behalf of my parents who stayed at the Log country Inn last weekend. They were coming in from Long Island at the last minute and were so very happy they found this place. They had a great time, delicious breakfast, and lovely ambience. (Location was 15 minutes from downtown Ithaca). Sarah was very helpful... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the house down the road from the main house with a gorgeous pond in the backyard. We stayed for 3 days but by the end we wished we had booked for longer. The house itself is rustic but very well maintained and comfortable. There were plenty of trails in the backyard but we didn't... More

This was by far one of the most relaxing and comfortable bed and breakfasts that we've ever stayed at. The directions on the website were very helpful and we were warmly greeted, shown some of the property and immediately felt at home. Our host Wanda was very friendly and welcoming and gave us the space to relax as much as... More

Very quiet, homey log cabin with many different rooms to choose from. Hostess Wanda is so sweet & make you feel right at home. Russian Pancakes, cheese blintzs, and other home-cooked breakfast foods vary each morning. I really enjoyed the natural sulfer springs water. It has a smell that is odd, but it's so good for your skin...especially in one... More

Honestly the breakfast and the host are wonderful, the sulphur spring water that came out of the tap was horrible. We didn't shower or brush out teeth with the water there. It is quite pungent. It supposedly has healing qualities but I wasn't about to test that theory. We had reserved a two bed room and since we were the... More

Dear StampedPassport2013, Thank you very much for your review and we are very happy that you enjoyed our breakfasts. Historically we are located in an area where Sulfur Springs have thrived as long as the area has existed. Because of this, we keep Sulfur water in the Russian Jacuzzi suite, Polish Room and Persian Balcony rooms at the request of... More

Reserved room in building up the road from main house. At first it seemed okay, other than being a good 10 miles from Ithaca and in the middle of nowhere... But the room was full of stink bugs. We did not stay.

Dear Sjplb85, Thank you very much for your review. We completely understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to voice them. Because we are surrounded by 7,000 acres of State Forest it is very difficult to keep creatures away from our Inn at all times--I suppose this comes with the territory of living in the wilderness. I assure... More

The SECOND best thing about visiting our son is to stay with Wanda Gruenberg, hostess extraordinaire of the Log Country Inn. TVs are in sitting areas and not in the rooms, but the rooms are so charming and the breakfasts so delicious, you will soon find that point moot.

Great place, very special and homey. Wanda is an amazing host. The breakfast is very good, including amazing "blincheses". One thing to keep in mind - in one of the cabins, there are sulfur water in the shower, can be a bit challenging :-)

Wanda's Inn is in the woods and a few miles away from the town, it very quiet and each log hut/suite is furnished with great care to a country theme. We stayed at the Russian Jacuzzi Suite and enjoyed the experience very much. This quaint suite has two bedrooms, a living area and a well equipped kitchen, besides the jacuzzi.... More

In early January my wife and I stayed for a night in the Japanese Jacuzzi suite. I loved the inn, and Wanda's apprentice was so kind and cooked us an amazing breakfast! Then he walked us around the entire house and grounds, telling us stories of he and the owners lives. It was really sweet, and if you are looking... More
