Received gift certificate to Shorecrest about 2-1/2 years ago, stayed during a cold windy weekend in January and loved every minute of it....from our warm greeting by host Marilyn, to afternoon tea in the library, to the sumptuous bedding, and even the quirky little bathroom. Ended up buying a house just minutes away on the other side of the pond,... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Shorecrest in early August and it was nothing short of a wonderful lodging experience. Marilyn, our hostess, is a delightful woman who will respect your privacy as well as converse with you if you are the sociable type. There are several rooms to choose from, each giving you a little something different. Some rooms... More

I Had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before or knew much about Long Island. My boyfriend turned 30 at the end of June and I wanted to do something different. After reading reviews of countless places, Shorecrest won my vote and I was overjoyed from the moment I walked in. Marilyn helped and was available for anything that... More

This was our second time staying in the Shorecrest B and B. We went in the fall of 2011 and decided to go in the summer. It is located in a great location. You can walk to the beach and watch the sunset. The rooms are all beautiful and the breakfast is delicious. Thank you for everything Marilyn. We will... More

Thank you for this lovely review, Maria! I couldn't be happier to hear that your first go-around with us impressed you enough to bring you back for round two. Of course, the North Fork brings a little something different in all seasons -- best to experience them all! We'll look forward to seeing you again the next time you're in... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Shorecrest B&B this memorial day weekend. The rooms and ambiance are great, there are plenty of books to distract yourself if your girlfriend is not ready, and the breakfasts were incredible. The place has wonderful gardens, and Marylin knows the North Fork very well. Her reccomendations were great!

So happy to hear that we were able to help make your holiday weekend such a success, Miguel! There's just nothing like enjoying an afternoon in our garden, is there? Please do pass along my thanks to your girlfriend as well -- it was absolutely our pleasure to host you two and we'll hope to see you again soon! I... More

This bed and breakfast has all the luxuries of a hotel, with a charming, quaint atmosphere. It is located right across from the Long Island Sound and has a private path to the beach. Breakfast was excellent in the morning, with a variety of freshly prepared dishes. Marliyn, the owner, is very knowledgeable about the area and is happy to... More

You are so kind to write us this lovely review, Casey! There's just nothing like being steps away from the beach, is there? I do hope you got to spend plenty of time in the sun when you were here! Thank you again for the kind words and we'll hope to see you the next time you're in our neighborhood... More

I stayed at the Shorecrest earlier this year for a weekend getaway with my daughter who lives in Manhattan. I am from Vermont, so this was a great place to meet up, for her to escape the city and spend a couple of days relaxing in a lovely New England Inn. We each had a room at the front of... More

Coming out from NYC, I found Shorecrest incredibly peaceful and beautiful. Marilyn catered to all my needs and her food was delicious. Contrary to what some said, I didn't notice road noise at all, and was extremely comfortable throughout my stay.

It's so nice to have a weekend away from the city every now and again, isn't it, Rebecca? So glad we could provide you with the perfect backdrop to do just that! You are so kind to note the food in your review, too. We put a lot of love into our cooking here, so your compliments are much appreciated!... More

I agree with other comments that the owner, Marilyn, is very nice, and serves a delicious breakfast. However, the room on the front of the house, facing the Sound, is very small, and the bathroom is unbelievably small. The traffic noise is very loud, so if you are sensitive to that you may want to request a room in the... More

Dear Ellen I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay in the East room as much as I would have wished, but I am delighted to know that you love the breakfast and thank you for your kind words. However, as your hostess I would like to address your concerns. Of course there is nothing I can... More

This is a lovely old house with a very lovely owner. The rooms are extremely small and the bathrooms even smaller, this is something we are not accustomed to so if you are no problem. We, as most people, were more interested in the area than in our lodging, however it was disarming to be able to sit on the... More

Dear Audra Thanks so much for taking the trouble to write a review and for your kind remarks. I enjoyed our chats too.
