We had a great weekend in Northfork and ended with staying at the Ellis House Bed and Breakfast. It was very clean, great breakfast. We had coffee outside in the morning. Just over all very nice stay.

On our arrival to the Ellis House, Connie couldn’t have been more helpful. She was an outstanding hostess. She was very cheerful and warm! She welcomed us like family. She made excellent recommendations to several of the wineries and for places to eat. Our rooms were big and very clean. Breakfast was just fabulous! The Rosemary Popovers were UNBELEIVABLE! Staying... More

We had a lovely blue room with a great paddle fan but we could hear the traffic go by. It was too hot to close the windows. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice. We were able walk one mile to the beach, we like to walk in the morning so we didn't need the "parking pass" that the Ellis House... More

That was a beautiful, end-of-summer weekend you spent with us at Ellis House! Many of our guests choose to use the air conditioning available in all rooms if the typical night breeze is not blowing on the North Fork. Next time, we'd be glad to show you how it operates if you choose to keep your windows closed. So glad... More

My wife and I have been enjoying occasional summer and fall weekends on Long Island's North Fork for a while now, but this time -- our anniversary -- we decided to treat ourselves to the B&B experience. Ellis House is an exemplar of everything we enjoy and hope to find in a small inn, including innkeepers that make you feel... More

My wife Barbara and I had never been to Long Island before so when our neighbor Jerry suggested we visit we were excited. We found the Ellis House online and exchanged several emails with Connie prior to our arrival. When we reached the house early on a Sunday morning we were warmly greeted by Connie even though we were an... More

We stayed here on Valentines day weekend and it was fantastic! Connie and Scott are amazing hosts! It was snowing the day that we came and they had personally shoveled out the driveway and all the guests cars and the following morning cleaned off each of our cars as well! The breakfast was INCREDIBLE TO DIE FOR rosemary popovers and... More

Mid-November does bring seasonal changes to the North Fork that you may not have experienced during other seasons' visits. The color leaves our flowers and the leaves fall off the trees - a different North Fork but equally beautiful! November is also the time that we as innkeepers must do annual upkeep before the snow flies, and this year’s project... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ellis house on 10/25. Throughout the night the keepers dog barked and the temperature in the room fell throughout the night. I kept playing with the thermostat throughout the night but the heat never turned on. We confronted Connie in the morning about the dog and the heat. She told us they turn... More

Coming from Australia we had a preconceived and very romantic vision of what Long Island would be like, particularly the Hamptons area. We found our expectations exceeded from the moment we arrived at Ellis House and were welcomed by Connie. In fact the experience started sooner for us as Connie was very generous with her time in sending emails in... More

We had a lovely weekend at the Ellis House in Southold. Connie, the innkeeper was fantastic and a tremendous cook. The queen sized bed was comfy and the sheets were nice and soft. There was a huge guest living room to relax in, and a pretty outdoor area to enjoy. We would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing a... More
