I just came back from another great family vacation. Every summer we try to get together (at least once) and we stay at this hotel. It has a very spacious lawn where the kids enjoyed playing sports and we had an outdoor barbeque. We also enjoyed playing games in the pool and sitting on the outdoor pool chairs. We had... More

Found ourselves in Southhampton needing a place for two nights in-between NYC appointments. The Village Latch had availability, so we booked it after a quick look-around. Great location just minutes walk from Main St. (many dining and upscale shopping options). Free shuttle service to Cooper Beach (about 1 mile away). Continental breakfast was included, but for the price I'd have... More

I have once again had the pleasure once again of staying at the Village Latch Inn on a mid-week trip to the Hamptons. As before, I was charmed by the uniqueness of this hotel, its special combination of hospitality and artistic sensibility. This time, we stayed in the Terry Cottage, which has a bed and breakfasty feel with nice sitting... More

When one enters the grounds of Southampton's Village Latch Inn, there is a feeling of entering a very private wonderful bucolic world. There is no time or no era..it is what you want it to be. The inn is full of antiques collected from all corners of the world, which in principle may be a lot to take in but... More

I spent a wonderful 2 nights at the Village Latch in early fall 2014 and fell in love with this charming place. The first thing I noticed as I entered the Inn is the fascinating art collection that lines the entrance hall and public areas. Such varied and intriguing pieces. With everything from whimsical to thought-provoking artwork, this is definitely... More

My husband and I are a retired couple in our 70s from Arizona. I’ve intended to write this review for months now, but time got away. Our stay at the Village Latch in October 2014 was superb. We LOVED Southampton… the beaches, the restaurants, the history, the rolling farmland. But what we loved the most was relaxing in the laid... More

We stayed for one night during the high season but this B&B was not worth the premium we paid. Our room was dark and dinky. I have stayed in old B&Bs but this one was beyond just old, it was run down. I guess your experience here may differ if you stayed in a different room/suites/cottage, but our room located... More

This was clearly once a beautiful inn but sadly most of its charm is lost in the general air of dilapidation and clutter. It is in much need of renovation to bring it up to modern standards. The ambience is dark and musty with artefacts gathering dust in every room, including our bedroom. We arrived mid-week at 7:45pm to find... More

The room was charming and spacious with a separate bedroom, bathroom, living and dining space. It was clean and furnished with amenities including a refrigerator, utensils, glasses and dishes. The spacious grounds include a tennis court, heated outdoor pool and ample patio furniture both at the pool area and on the grounds. Complementary breakfast with amazing coffee was included. The... We knew what to expect and were happy with our stay. This is an aged property with character. The common space and rooms are decorated with pieces from another era. There is no feeling of formality and is not trying to impress sits guests. The charm comes from its lack of pretense. It has floors that slope, stairs that squeak... More
