The Smithtown Inn's website advertised $45 for four hours in a room with a Queen bed, a microwave, and a mini-fridge. Upon checking in, I was told that there were no Queen beds that existed in the hotel, and that the rate was $55 for only three hours in a King room instead. I realize the cost is reasonable, but the room we stayed in was in need of repair and heavy duty cleaning. No toilet paper holder or towel rack, no handtowels and just one washcloth for two people. I stayed here 3 years ago when it was remodeled and it was pretty nice. Since then it has gotten bad. Though the price is still good (for the area) they no longer offer any amenities. No coffee in the rooms or the lobby. No breakfast snacks offered. The sheet had others' hair on them and the AC barely worked.... More
