This motel is very conviniently located near Lake, Winery and Distillery. Price was right for the ameneties we received. We had a nice, clean double room. Due to age of property, there were not enough power plugs to satisfy our computer requirements, so had to unplug the desk lamp and TV. Grounds are well kept. Pool looked lovely..did not use.... More

Booked for price, then read some scary reviews so was worried. We had a lovely stay. Older but clean. Large room, fridge and coffee. Comfy king bed. Good service. Interior hall did have stale smell, as if it should just b aired out well. Short drive to town. Would stay again.

Stayed overnight on a short trip to Finger Lakes. Motel had clean rooms and very helpful staff. Tables and umbrellas outside office for relaxing. Good value and close to the lovely Skaneateles. We would stay here again.

The Bird's Nest is far from a luxury motel. If you want shampoo, go to the front desk and ask for it. Breakfast? Thomas' Bagels, a few packaged sweets and coffee. No frig, microwave or hair dryer. What you will find is a pleasant receptionist, a clean but sparse room and a comfortable bed. Remember to add on New York's... More

We were first drawn to this place because of the fair rates; then we met the owners and so respected their quest to run a small business. Then their dog ( I forget the name ) who was such a lover. We found nothing wrong, but we found so many magnetic attractions. Jack and Jann Ewen

Motel is clean and attractive. Front desk friendly but DID NOT have correct dates for our booking.com reservation. Thankfully we had our printed copy and that they had a room available. We had changed our date a few weeks before and they had not put the update in their system. They knew Internet did not work in rooms and did... More

My friend and I do an annual road trip through back roads in the northeast, and this year we hit the Finger Lakes, Skaneateles first. This motel is very basic. The bathroom was small and the beds ok, although the pillows were desperately in need of changing. There was a nice chair in our room, and a small table. No... More

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. At first, we were all in love with the cute layout and the size of our room. However, that was the highest point. None of us slept well because the beds might as well have been made of rock. In fact, one of us ended up sleeping on the floor the... More

I feel it's my duty to fellow travelers to report the condition of this motel. I like to try and support the older "Mom & Pop" places when I can, and I'm willing to put up with a few quirks to save a little money. I've stayed here for an overnight in May for the last three years, and the... More

Our second stay at Birds Nest was OK. It is an old time roadside motel convenient for our purposes. Both times we stayed there we had clean rooms and the staff was very nice. This trip our room was much bigger for only $10.00 more but the bed was not very comfortable though my wife disagrees on that. I suppose... More
