I really enjoyed my stay in the Cottage Room at the Village Inn. The room was clean and charming. The location of the Inn is great because all of the shops and restaurants are literally right downstairs. The staff at the Sherwood Inn went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasurable stay. Plus, the complimentary breakfast at the... More

A really nice place to stay in Skaneateles! The location can't be beat, the rooms are so incredibly clean and big, and you can't go wrong staying here. Winter rates are unbeatable! If you can, try to get the French Room as it is the best.

We normally stay at the Sherwood Inn when we visit Skaneateles, but because it was a last minute trip and we had nothing booked ahead, we managed to instead get a room here (which is also managed by the Sherwood). We stayed in the French Country room on the third floor, and I'd have to say that I was very... More

The Village Inn is owned by the Sherwood Inn which was booked so we took this which is around the corner from Main Street. The room is up two flights of stairs so it's a hike to get your luggage there. The room was very clean, nice king size bed, gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub. Although it's $10 extra for a... More

This was without a doubt, the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in. The Village Inn is part of the Sherwood Inn but it is around the corner and above a store called the Paris Shop. There are 4 rooms in this building and each have their own flavour but I imagine just as gorgeous. This room had a King... More

My Fiance and I stayed at The Village Inn for New Year's Eve this year, in the Terrace Room. The inn is located right off of the main street in Skaneateles, easy to find. Check in was at the reception desk at The Sherwood, as this inn is run and operated by the Sherwood. We were given our private keys,... More

This Inn is just off the main drag in town so there is not a lake view, but the room was very nice. We had the Terrace Room which is on the 3rd floor - King bed, fireplace, jacuzzi tub and separate shower with tons of water pressure. Since it was Labor day there was a parade in town in... More

We wanted a short get-away close to home (Ithaca) for our 10'th anniversary. We decided on Skaneateles and we chose the Village Inn despite mixed reviews here. Glad we did! We stayed for just one night (April 30) in the French Country room. On this date, we still got off-season rates: $99 ($111.87 with tax) including breakfast for 2 on... More

Lovely stay at Village Inn. Well located around the corner from Sherwood. Room spacious and immaculate. Breakfast either at Inn or at Sherwood. Enjoyed it very much - lots of privacy
