Romantic winter stay. Many restaurants were closed on SI, but 18 Bay had just opened after the winter break (it was fab BTW) and the Something(?) Tomato restaurant 2 mins walk up the road is open all year round. (Got to mention here, HoCC is a B&B not a self-catering apartment.) Bill, the owner, was helpful and friendly, grabbing a... More

My husband and I have been to Shelter Island many times and thought that it would be fun to stay at a different hotel this time. We tried the house at Chase Creek. First its location was delightful, although we went in the winter – it was nice but the time to go to fully enjoy the setting would have... More

Too many B&Bs are owned by the congenitally anxious. Not so Bill, the owner of the House on Chase Creek. If you need something, he'll help but he's happy to leave you alone to enjoy your stay. Breakfast was OK. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Dinner recommendations were perfect. We had a wonderful reunion with Shelter Island after 20... More

My husband and I have stayed at the House on Chase Creek numerous times over the past 6 years, and we look forward to coming back again and again. Shelter Island is a beautiful place to visit, regardless of the time of year. We especially love staying in the suite with the fireplace during the colder months. Bill is a... More

My husband and I stayed here one night on a road trip up the East Coast. Beautiful island. The B&B feels very authentic. Not over the top, just right. Bill is super helpful and knows a lot about the area. He gives great tips. Rooms are clean and from what hear among the best on the island. Breakfast is lovely... More

House on Chase Creek was just what I was looking for in a relaxing getaway. My boyfriend and I were greeted by Bill who showed us on the map where the best places to kayak, hike, the restaurants, beaches, and other places of interests. We reserved the suite which was roomy, private, clean, and even had a little porch. We... More

My wife and I stayed here this past weekend while working a wedding on Shelter Island. I was a bit skeptical about staying at a B&B as we have never done so before but the experience was definitely a positive one. The room was a nice size with a private bathroom which was also fairly large. A nice continental breakfast... More

Had a fabulous July 4th weekend thanks to this little gem on the island and Bill... of course! Great service from the moment we stepped off the ferry when Bill came to pick us up. On our short drive to the house, we were given the lay of the land and insider tips. The house sits on a picturesque block... More

My wife and I just got back from Shelter Island and we were really happy with the destination and the House on Chase Creek. First about the B & B. It's clean, it's quaint, it's homely, it fits the island. Bill provides a nice breakfast and privacy. We stayed in the suite which I highly recommend, which gives you basically... More

Nice clean reasonably priced room. You could sit on the swing on the front porch watching the creek forever . Breakfast was nice saves a lot of time when you can just get up and eat. Nice to meet people from other parts of New England. Place had a lot of charm with it's antiquated electrical service. A bit hard... More
