My husband and I just returned from such an amazing first (but not last) trip to Shelter Island. The House on Chase Creek could not have been more perfectly peaceful - we stayed in the King Room, which was so cozy. Highlights of the room were the stunning view of the creek, morning sunrise through the trees across, and watching... More

We've stayed here twice. The owners are friendly and helpful and picked us up from the ferry. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view of the creek. A great place to stay on a lovely island. A perfect weekend escape from the city. Excellent house to warm up in during a winter trip through the Hamptons.

My amazing husband surprised me for New Years with a romantic stay here to relax and recharge. I had no idea where we were going but it was here to this immaculate circa 1900s home - so lovely, perched right on the edge of a sparkling creek. (Pond or small lake sized). Our room couldn't of been nicer. Filled with... More

We just spent a delightful weekend at Chase Creek. We were the only guests and stayed in a very large comfortable room with delightful view of the autumn leaves and the lake. The breakfast was adequate and the breakfast room also had beautiful views of the lake. Our host recommended where to eat in the evening and we had an... More

This was the worst bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at. It was like a ghost house. There was absolutely nothing put into the breakfast. You saw the owner Bill in the morning and after that he was never to ben seen for the day. The refrigerator had bugs and the milk was old. There was only bananas everyday... More

I am in the process of trying to get tripadvisor to take down this post for various reasons including the length of time between their stay and their post. There were issues with the guest that only now were resolved (not in the guests favor) and this is how they are trying to get even it seems. More

This place is clean but not very comfortable and the continental breakfast offering is poor. It includes store bought cinnamon buns, grees bananas, Yoplait sweetened yogurts and some cereals. the coffee is Kuerig Donut shop coffee and Green Mountain Decaf. There is no luggage stand, the pillows are hard blocks of foam. the chairs in the suite are not particularly... More

I apologize for your experience. The breakfast does include several other items such as home made banana bread, english muffins, cinnamon toast, juice, hot chocolate, assorted teas, oatmeal. There is a luggage stand in every room along with a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. They are stored in the closet. There are a variety of pillows including feather and... More

House on Chase Creek is a quaint and lovely home. We stayed in the room upstairs on the left #2. Large room with king sized and large bathroom - very comfortable. It overlooked the creek and the tree just outside the window was changing to fall colors. Heard an owl hooting at night as an extra bonus. Bill, the proprietor,... More

This is our second stay at this B&B and loved it. Very homey and inviting. We love Shelter Island and have stayed at a variety of places; some of which we love. This B&B is charming and has a lovely view of Chase Creek. The room we stayed in this last visit is the suite. It has a large bedroom... More

This is our first review despite the fact that our initial stay was in 2003. In 2009 we needed someplace for 4 couples for a special occasion. We know exactly where to go. Since then we have visited 9 other times. Beginning 2011 we have stayed twice a year (April and November) and have just booked our November trip. We... More
