Had a very enjoyable stay. Top floor suite overlooking State street. Located right next door to Proctor's Theater. Great bed and nice new appliances. Rain shower water head in bath. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

I have never felt not save before in a hotel - but this was the first time I was a little worried for my safety - an un-manned hotel through the night and just a key pad to get back in at night!! I had two nights in this place, the room was very clean and tidy - unfortunately the... More

I'm traveling across the country as a cast member of the new tour of "The Phantom of the Opera" and when I was able to reserve a 2-week stay amidst a busy Union college reunion weekend, I was elated. In a city where I'd normally have to travel 20 minutes from Albany to get to work (as did the majority... More

I used the Parker Inn for a block for my wedding and stayed there myself with my bridesmaid. I worked extensively with a manager several months before the wedding, but none of the promises that were made by the hotel were fulfilled without extra work and request on my part. Instead of being a seamless and positive experience, there were... More

The rooms are dirty and in disrepair. The first room I was given had a non-working lock on the door, liberal construction dust, stained and chipped furniture, the light bulb was not screwed in and the lamp not plugged in. The bedspread had a bug crawling on it. I was upgraded to a room with a kitchenette. The floor was... More

We recently stayed for events at Union College. The room was lovely but the service minimal to unacceptable. One of the other guests on our floor (7th) had a dog that barked off and on all through the night....Apparently this person has been living at the hotel for several months. There was no mention in the information on the web... More

They are charging full price, $150 a night and still in full renovations. No food services and front desk closes between 1 and 6. Not worth the money at this stage. Be aware or at least negotiate big time. Location is good but full of dust. Beds are comfortable but my suite was weird layout.

I recently went to see a play in Schenectady and found that the Parker was right next door. Besides the convenience the room was great. Everything was newly remodeled in my room and was super elegant. The original elevator is there and its a bit creaky sounding but works just fine, even has the names of famous stars that have... this is a lovely small hotel adjacent to proctors theatre. the room we stayed in was updated with a large, beautiful modern bath. there was a glitch with the hvac during our stay, so we opened the windows and since we were on the top floor the street noise was not an issue. the staff were friendly and accommodating -... The staff was vey friendly and helpful, I strongly recommend this hotel. It did not have any food/drink of any kind but there are plenty of places to walk to within 1/2 a... More
