We stayed at Halcyon Place with friends for one night en route to Niagara Falls but wish we had more time to soak up the local scenery. We drove into nearby Corning (yes, the original home of Corning Ware) for dinner. Our hosts were wonderful, our beds comfortable and breakfast was sublime. We have no hesitation in recommending this delightful... More

Thank you so much for your fabulous review. I just wanted you to know that your opinions and ideas are valued. Because of our wonderful post-breakfast conversation, i booked a flight to and hotel in Krakow for an incredible New Year's Eve! I love learning about the world through my bed and breakfast guests!!! All the best, Yvonne More

My husband I spent another anniversary night at Halcyon Place. This is our fourth and we always totally enjoy Yvonne and her lovely bed and breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the grounds inviting and the breakfasts a gormets delight. We would definately recommend this place to anyone and hope to return for a fifth anniversary night. My husband and I prefer to stay at bed and breakfasts when we travel, so we have a great deal of experience with them. The Halcyon Place is exceptional! The house itself is beautiful: large rooms, decorated with antiques and country touches, lovely flowers and candlelight everywhere. The rooms are comfortable, immaculate, and have modern touches cleverly hidden. Yvonne is... More

This was our very first bed and breakfast experience and it was excellent. Yvonne and Becky's attention to detail was superb. The rooms were authentically decorated but also had every modern convenience, including wireless internet access. The home and guest rooms were immaculate. Breakfast included juice, fresh fruit, home baked pastries(delicious) , egg souffle one day and cheese blinzes the next... More

We just returned from Halcyon Place in the southwestern Finger Lakes and would go back in an instant! Will go back. The house beautifully and authentically reflects its 1830's origins and is 21st century comfortable and convenient with chairs you can curl up in to read for hours and wireless access if you so desire. Subtly fragrant bunches of herbal... More

A beautiful house set in wonderful and quiet surroundings. Our host, Yvonne, welcomed us with tea and homemade biscuits. The room was perfect; beautiful antique furniture, clean and elegant. Yvonne's breakfast was the best of a two week roadtrip! Omelette with homegrown herbs and goats cheese, fruit and homemade scones. The attention to detail is second to none. We are... More

B&B's can be hit or miss....and this was a hit. A charming Greek revival home with antiques and lovely grounds. Yvonne (your innkeeper) is attentive and gracious in all that she does. Attention to detail comes right down to a memorable candlelit breakfast! And what a breakfast it was. If you are anywhere near the Finger Lakes, figure on making... More
