My partner took me here as part of a surprise date. We did not stay overnight. We viewed the grounds and then ventured off through town to find a location that would give us other angles to view it from. The lighthouse and its surrounding area is beautiful. The hike to get to it was very easy. I'm so glad... More

Saugerties is a nice place to spend the afternoon browsing all the shops, taking in a good meal, and checking out this lighthouse. The lighthouse is easy to get to, a nice easy walk through some foliage, and if you get there just before sunset, it's a nice scene.

fun place to visit and stay overnight. i was expecting it to be kind of creepy but the river was frozen over and the lighthouse isn't quite in the middle of the water and isolated as i thought it was, and you can see lights from the area homes at night. the lighthouse seems to be a popular destination for... The waiting list for this unique B & B set in the marshes of the Hudson was one year. A very small, once lighthouse, now an historic location, offering an experience you will not forget. Meals, other than breakfast are not supplied, so be prepared. Also services are minimal, whilst comfortable, you are not here for luxury, but rather a... More

What an interesting B & B! Anyone who appreciates history and lighthouses coupled with "taking a step back in time" would enjoy staying the night here. Innkeepers Patrick & Anna were very helpful and most cordial. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms were kept very warm with coal burning cast iron heaters despite the freezing temps outside. River views were most unusual... More

We had an amazing time at the lighthouse! We were looking for a unique place to stay in the Hudson Valley and happened to spot a review of the lighthouse with bed and breakfast on tripadvisor. We couldnt have asked for a better experience. It was unforgettable. A short walk out to the lighthouse and you are transported back in... More

The Saugerties Lighthouse is a charming rustic bed and breakfast run out of an historic lighthouse. I just went with my wife and another couple and it was an amazing experience. Getting the ability to stay here is the most frustrating part as we booked our reservation a year in advance. People who stay here have first dibs at reservations,... More

The Saugerties Lighthouse is booked well in advance. You can get email updates on cancellations but you've got to be fast with the phone to get in. We were finally able to take advantage of a cancellation. It was perfect timing as there was a one night break in the heat and it was the night we slept here. It... More

Staying at the Saugerties Lighthouse bed and breakfast is like stepping back in time. From the old kitchen appliances to the coal burning stoves this lighthouse brings you back to a simpler time. We slept in the west room with a brilliant view of the back deck and the Hudson river. It's so charming and peaceful. The lighthouse keeper provided... More

We visited the light house on a day when it was 20 degrees out. The walk from the parking lot to the light house was about 1/4 a mile. It was freezing but worth it. The little light house is charming with great views of the Hudson. It must be so much more glorious in nicer, and warmer weather. They... More
