If you must go to Saugerties I suppose this is as good a place as any to stay. We decided to go there because we needed to visit our kids at camp about a 30 min drive from Saugerties. The restaurant seemed like a good choice and the inn looked decent.
When we arrived, it seemed more like a boarding house than an inn. Rickie showed us to our room, but we did not get the room we selected because the A/C was not working. We made do with the room offered to us. We only stayed for a night, so it was ok, but it was not inexpensive and probably not worth the $150 ($165 with tax, cash!) we paid. Also, the rooms themselves do not lock from the outside, only the front door locks. (You can lock it when you are in the room with a slide lock). This seemed odd to us, but Rickie said it was safe. Unfortunately, the bed was uncomfortably hard (but I like a softer, more plush mattress!). Also, breakfast is not included and there are no other amenities other than parking.
