“Friendly, inviting, and clean, and its right on the water”

The location was nice and clean with a fresh breeze and a balcony right on the water, free paddle boats and kayaks. The owners and staff were very accommodating and eco friendly. Would definitely go back.

Our first stay at the Saranac Lake Inn for our annual father-son fishing trip was so special that we booked the same wonderful lakefront room for June 2012 upon checking out. I would stay there again the owner was very nice and very respectful. I loved there it was very peaceful there the rooms are very clean. had plenty of hot water. the bathroom was very clean. you can see everything from the balcony. “Perfect Stay!”

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here. It was very quiet (before peak season) and romantic waking up to the serenenity of the lake outside our room. The room was clean, absolutely no complaints except maybe the shower could have used a new shower head...We will definitely stay here again!

“Comfy place to spend a few days”

Gauthier's is a very simple and affordable accommodation next to a beautiful lake setting. The owner or manager was very friendly and advised us on a few places to visit nearby. Kayaking was also enjoyable

we went here for my birthday...it was really nice...paddle boating across the lake at sunset was georgeous....hotel was comfortable wouldn't say spectacular but wouldn't call it a dump...it was clean and comfortable...I would stay there again if we make it up that way again...

We had a horrible experience at this hotel and would not be inclined to return. The entire property is poorly maintained and in disrepair. The owner was rude and uncaring. For $165/night, we experienced NO hot water (the owner said it happens when everyone showers at once), problems with the water being noticeably tainted blue and then pink, unreliable temperature... “Awesome Place to Stay”

We have stayed at Gauthier's a number of times since our son moved to Saranac Lake. The hospitality, rooms and views are awesome. Our older children loved using the kayaks. We enjoy the walks along Lake Flower. We would highly recommend :)
