My girlfriends and I wanted to get away and have a fun-filled girly vacation. We were able to really relax and be outdoors at this property. We cooked, drank wine and played games from the comfort of our own private kitchen. During the day we had our choice of many outdoor activities from canoeing, water skiing, and hiking. There's even... more

Stayed in Pike Room three nights in July 2009. Very attractive B&B at end of a long road which affords privacy. Inn sits right on edge of Lake Kiwassa and the view from our room (with small private balcony) and from the breakfast dining room was spectacular. Pike Room was large, very nicely furnished, and very clean. Margie, the B&B... more

We've stayed her many times in both the B&B and the cabins. The cabins are rustic, appealing more to the camping crowd I think, but with recent renovations they've broadened their appeal quite a bit, we'd definitely stay in them again if it weren't for the amazing appeal of their B&B. We LOVE the B&B! It's such a beautiful, secluded... more

My husband and I have stayed here many times. In fact we spent our honeymoon here and come every year to celebrate our anniversary. We love it so much that when we were having some family problems and felt we ALL needed a vacation to "heal" we stayed here with my 2 TEENAGE children who also LOVE the place. It... more

The B & B here is absolutely beautiful, but we stayed in the cabins which aren't nearly as nice. The cabin was one of the most uncomfortable cabins I've ever stayed in in my life, but with more care and investment it could be very sweet. The beds were horrible -- we could hardly sleep at night and woke up... more

A tripadvisor user recommended Lake Saranac as the best place to stay in the Adirondacks and we were not disappointed. Cochrans Cabins was a perfect haven. We stayed in one of the cabins 5 metres from the edge of Lake Kiwassa and cooked our own breakfast in our own dinky kitchen every morning. We ate on the porch, hung out... more

We stayed at the Kiwassa Lake B n B for 2 nights in November, in the Eagle Room. It is located at the dead end of a 3 mile road which twists and winds through the Adirondack woods, outside of Saranac lake, and there are not many homes and no other businesses in the area. As a result, the Inn... more

We spent our wedding anniversary at this lovely, secluded B and B. When I called to reserve a room, Margie the owner was so gracious. We stayed in the Pike room which was charming and roomy. Our room looked out onto Kiawassa Lake. We also had a small private balcony that overlooked the lake. The room was very private, and... more

Cochrans cabins is the perfect get away. The property is breath taking, the cabins are cozy and the people are delightful. I enjoyed my time here so much that I already booked a return trip this August. more

We just had a boy's trip weekend to Cochran's Cabins. Like the first reviewer, we stayed in April too. The Cabin experience is quite a bit different than the B&B - which is what the pictures are taken from on tripadvisor.com. The B&B looks fairly new; the cabins are rustic - old and rustic, getting run down. When we arrived,... more
