Beautiful scenery, gorgeous cabins. The only complaint I have is that I had to leave to get back to work. From hiking to swimming, or even just relaxing at the cabin, it was a non stop rollercoaster of outdoor enjoyment. Don't really know what else to say, if you ever get the opportunity to go, do it!

This is the place to go whether you're looking to hike, bike, boat, rock climb, swim, roller blade, camp, take in nature. There's a stone tower, Thunder Rocks, Bear Caves, two lakes, a few gift shops, a restaurant, and endless adventures to have. If you love the outdoors, nature, and getting away from the noise of everyday life this is... More

This park is massive and filled with natures unique attractions you can visit 100 times and still not see everything. You can camp (rent a cabin pitch a tent for a fee of course) or just visit for the day and take in its beauty. Everything from bear caves to water falls. If you enjoy nature hiking fishing and or... After a year since my last stay here, we came back again. I am not from the area so I don't have the luxury of scouting out campgrounds. The red house area was completely sold out during our weekend. Luckily, I had booked ahead based on our last stay. I liked the Congdon loop, no problems at ll with privacy... More

There are over 300 cabins to rent in Allegany State Park in many different areas. Based on reviews here, we chose the Red House section of the park, and the Congdon Loop. Congdon is one long road parallel to one of the main park roads, with a meadow and trees in between. There are 15 cabins on the road. The... More

The park, is like other state parks beautiful. The lots were great, just don't book A loop. The washrooms were dated and could use a reno. The playground is a little small, the biking trails, scenery, and trails were all awesome. The family had a great time.

While the area was absolutely stunning the campsites left much to be desired. The vast majority of the campsites we saw in Cain Hollow on the Quaker side were basically a gravel driveway surrounded by trees. Cain Hollow is also very hilly so very few sites had flat ground for pitching a tent. The sites had some privacy from neighbours... More

good idea to look over cabins if you can before you rent they are mostly semi-primative most have no bathroom you have to go to a bath house some are newer and some are better maintained.[ cabins and bath houses] . bring what you need the park store is a little pricey. camping areas are ok tent areas most have... We stayed in the quaker area. Cabin was really old and not taken care of. No covering on windows. Graffiti on the inside walls! Mice running over our heads all night long. Bathroom nearby was so bad no one from our group would even enter. we drove to a different loop to go to the bathroom. Luckily we brought an... More

I cabin camped here last year with a friend. It was late September. We came to town for a bike race. I was not sure what to expect, and I agonized over which loop to choose. There are different prices which don't seem to make any sense, and the map is confusing. We wound up with a cabin on Congdon.... More
