We stayed here as part of our holiday, visiting Sackets Harbor in Sept 14. The hotel needs a serious update. Communal areas and the room were scruffy and dated. The bedroom was very smelly. We complained but got nowhere. Not recommended in this condition at these rates

Yes, I remember Neil... Before checkout he informed me that the room smelled like it had a smoker in it for the last month to which I told him that was imposable because we check each room before and after each guest, and all rooms are equipped with detectors to stop people from smoking. Then he switched his ploy to, "well... More

We stayed here in early September. The room was reasonably priced ($99) and very clean and spacious--king-size bed and a comfortable sitting area. It also had a small refrigerator and microwave and was stocked with complimentary cookies and bottled water. We even had a water view! It was an easy walk to Sackets Harbor shops and restaurants. Very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Ontario Place, room 312, for two nights this past week. The room was a very spacious corner room with a jacuzzi, a sitting area, a microwave/coffee/mini fridge area, decently-sized bathroom and king-sized bed. There is no elevator, so be prepared to walk upstairs if you are not on the first or second (main) floors. The hotel... More

We drove somewhat out of the way to enjoy again this picturesque village with history, great eating places, and pleasant walks to be had. The hotel is centrally located, quiet, easy to access with good parking. There was a continental breakfast with tasty fresh items. The staff was friendly. We will be back on another trip through the area and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, hotel was full booked due to the Sackets Harbor battlefield stuff. The room was very good. The bed was made, curtains were open, no trash or anything. Whirlpool was not broken until 2nd night; the cold handle fell off. The first night, we relaxed, tour the city, everything. The couch bed in 311 was very... More

This hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops and the War of 1812 battlefield and historic buildings. Hotel is clean, staff are helpful. Hotel needs to upgrade amenities. We had to ask twice to have our room made up (2 night stay). This is unusual since we have stayed there many times in the past.

We stayed here for our daughter's lacrosse tournament and were very pleased with our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Sacket's Harbor is beautiful and the hotel is a short walk from great restaurants and the waterfront.

Convenient location is the key here! Ontario Place is within easy walking distance of everything in Sackets Harbor. Desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were adequate and clean. Bed was comfortable. Although close to the harbor, we did not have a view. Not sure if any rooms do, since most seemed to face the parking lots. Continental breakfast... More

As mentioned by others, the location is great. Sackets Harbor is a cute little town and you can walk to everything from this hotel. We stayed in the annex, so I don't know if rooms in the main hotel were better. Our room had stained carpet that looked old. We were given one small bar of soap for the bathroom--there... More

The jacuzzi suites above the restaurant are not owned by the hotel, we manage them... I have forwarded your comments regarding the condition of the rug to the owner of the building, thank you. As to the soap dispenser and coffee cups, I have spoken to the head house keeper and she has taken steps to make sure this never... More

It is absolutely worth the extra price for a room with a view. We started out in a ground floor room by the stairwell (and sound does carry in these older buildings) but quickly decided to upgrade to the top floor, with one window facing the harbor and another facing downtown (both of which are accessible on the same block...
