I met my daughter at the George Ellen for a couple of days of skiing. George and Ellen are very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts are excellent and copious. We had the second floor room and the view is amazing, with a vast expanse of forest all the way up the mountains. It was a cold week but the... More

George and Ellen have put together a wonderful Bed and Breakfast in the Catskill Mountains. My wife and I wanted to stay at a local B&B with a magnificent view of the mountains and a place that was comfortable, peaceful and clean for a stop over on our road trip to Boston. The George Ellen did not disappoint, in fact... More

On a combination business/pleasure trip to Boston, my husband and I spent two nights at The George Ellen. It was the highlight of our week. Very comfortable, quiet, impeccably clean room with a spacious bathroom. Absolutely gorgeous, unobstructed view of the mountains! From our private balcony, we watched hummingbirds, a gray fox, and a porcupine who ambled around the back... More

Finally I have found the perfect B&B. Only 2 guest rooms, and the property is completely secluded from anyone else. The view does not include any other structures, nothing but trees below, and mountains straight across. Spectacular view. There is one tiny white building visible, way off in the distance on the mountainside. Other than that, you're completely alone with... More

We had returned to The George Ellen again and once more we had an outstanding experience. We spent two nights here during a snow storm in Feb 2014 and skied Windham during the weekend. Ellen was very accommodating and served us a generous breakfast early so we could hit the slopes early and beat the crowed. Windham Mountain is about... More

We arrived and instantly knew it was a good sign when we turned onto Hearts Content Road in Round Top. When we pulled up we were in awe at our home for the weekend. Panoramic views of the mountains, beautiful rustic, yet contemporary decor and a small fireplace sent our expectations over the edge. George and Ellen provided us with... More

I carefully checked reviews on Trip advisor looking for a Bed and Breakfast and chose this one and very happy I did. I cannot say enough about this beautiful well appointed B & B. Attention to detail gets an A+, the room and private bath are beautiful, extremely clean and had a great view of the mountains. The breakfast was... More

A near perfect spot in the Catskills. We visited in early September. The Catskills have a reputation where I live (downstate New York) as being the "poor man's Adirondacks." The mountains are not as nice, the lakes are not as nice, the hotels are not as nice. There is too much that is lower class and old fashioned. No doubt... More

My husband and I were looking to go somewhere for our one year wedding anniversary. My husband is a huge camping guy and while I like the outdoors as much as anyone else, doing my "business" in the woods isn't my idea of a romantic getaway. But, we found this place and I figured it could give us both what... More

This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast because we usually travel with our children. What an experience it was! The service was incredible and the view from our room was spectacular. Ellen goes out of her way to make you feel pampered and to treat you like a King and/or Queen. The breakfast that she makes was... More
