The owners are very nice and the property is beautiful but the rooms are musty and take your breath away when you open the door. My husband has asthma and my father has lung cancer. They were both suffering when in the rooms. On top of that, the window had no screen so we couldn't even air the room out.... More

I was looking for a place in the area where we could bring our dog, as we were visiting friends nearby. Most places I called were booked, and I finally came upon the Rockland House. Clearly the reviews here are not great, and the very low price of the room alarmed me a bit. So I called and spoke to... More

It was the only motel open this time of year. The man that checked us in was very nice. The other rooms were being used by contractors. The walls were so thin we could hear them coming back late at night from the bar with whatever women they picked up. And we could hear EVERYTHING. Luckily for us, and unluckily... More

Stayed her last Saturday with the wife. $55 gets you a king size bed. Place was fine, seemed clean. We didn't use the shower so can't comment on it. It had running water and heat so for $55 in Roscoe NY what more could I ask for? There's a bar/restaurant in the front of the establishment in a separate building.... More

Old, needs to be totally overhauled - room had walls that are torn, doors off the track, dirty towels - gross. Restaurant was fair (at best)... not healthy, and over priced.

There are not too many places to stay near Woodstock (Bethel, NY). This place is better for college kids, or campers/fishing folk. Beds were clean and comfy enough. Wouldn't use the shower or the towels--towels were actually BROWN stained. How could they supply the bath with brown stained towels and not notice this? TV worked. No bugs. The bar seemed... More

The Rockland House recently updated their furniture and prices.....They lowered thier rates and updated their rooms. I uploaded photos, so take a look. They have also put in a breakfast room which has a coffee machine, toaster oven, microwave and a nice table to sit at. They also serve dinner which has a great soup and salad bar.

I stayed here a couple years ago. I agree with some of the others who said the place needed lots of maintenance and it can get noisy at night. Sometimes the phone system can't handle the load. It does have a popular restaurant and some fly fishermen like to stay here.
